OH MY GOSH!!!
OMGSH! I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE JAMES DASHNER! hee hee you should send my story too and tell me what he thinks :D
I just realized that James goes through tons of publishers. diff publishers for jimmy fincher, 13th reality, and for "maze runner"
I know! It's nuts!!! Lolz Seth, idk. Idk if he'll even read mine . . .
i'm always too self-conscious to email authors ... i feel guilty; they're probably weighed down with emails from ppl going "CAN YOU READ MY BOOK?? PLEEEEEEASE???" sooo ... yeah. oh well. maybe i should start. >< i'm not getting much progress in the publishing world. *sigh*
i might start self-publishing though. if i self-published a book, would you guys buy it? just out of curiosity ...

Brigid, it wouldn't matter if you self-published or got it professionally done. I would buy it the first day it came out. At midnight. You're that amazing of an author.

omg brigid r u kidding?!?! you don't even has to ask!! you should KNOW that i would always buy your book, no matter WHAT kind of publishing it was of!!!
I don't even pay attention to weather books are self published or published by a massive company. I really don't. I mean, they are books, right? They contain a story, right? Yes? Well, then I'll read them.
The only time that I even look at the copyright page (where the publisher's info is) is if I'm citing a book, and then it's usually a reference of some sort, and not fictional.
heehee
okay well maybe i will attempt some self-publishing then. i was thinking about self-publishing Reborn, once i'm done editing it ...

>< well i'm almost done editing it ... almost. i still have fifty pages left to edit. and it keeps getting longer. gah.

I'm. Sick. Of. Editing. My. Story.
I swear it's the book I've ever read more than once in my entire life. I mean, I've read it like 10 times! And each time I make a change!!!

i know someone else who got an email from him!!! (someone special... hee hee ;) )

This time around, (the 11th time) I'm shortening the chapters. Once again.
Yeah, I am so sick of it. After this stuff is done, i'm going to apply to a few publishing companies, and if they turn me down, I'm just going to put it away for awhile.
yeah, i figured that was my best option.

Guess what?
I e-mailed Neal Shusterman.
And guess what?
he e-mailed back. but he didn't answer my question which was stupid. And he actually read the e-mail personally, but didn't answer my question, which was stupid. And if you e-mail him, and ask him to read your stories, he won't. He answered that question.
But he didn't answer my question on advice to get published! sheesh!

well ... it's understandable, though. authors get a lot of emails saying "please read my story!!" they get tired of it. it sucks, but that's the way it is. *sigh*
