No doubt you've used this situation as a ploy point somewhere?

I'm reading Gone
and absolutely loving it. This is my first Lisa Gardner book, I think, which is hard to believe. Possibly not my last.

I found this on my bookshelf. I can't even remember buying it and I can't believe I've not read any of hers before as she's the kind of crime writer I like.
Brenda wrote: "Her and Tess Gerritsen are two of my favourite crime writers that are not Aussie:)"Funny you should say that Brenda cause looking at my bookshelf( well the books on the floor now!!!) I have one of Tess Gerritsen's there too. The Apprentice. I noticed you gave it 5 stars so I'm guessing that's a good one too.
Oooh I read that one ages ago (pre reviews!) but I remember I loved it!
And I just realized what I said before was bad English! It should have been "she and Tess...." I think;)

I didn't even notice Brenda...it made sense to me. I may get around to it eventually.
I having a change of pace with Michael Dobbs' novel 'The Edge of Madness', a thriller. Intriguing so far - about quarter way through.
The Edge Of Madness by Michael Dobbs sounds good Peter, but there are a number of not so good reviews! Have you read him before?
Wow!!! Stayed up all night to finish this brilliant crime/thriller Gone
. Five stars and my first by this author. Brenda what were you thinking keeping her all to yourself? Just kidding...:)My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Haha! So glad you enjoyed her Elaine! I think I've just about read everything she's written and am always hanging out for more!! lol
Excellent review!
Excellent review!
I went away for a few days and took Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ with me. This is a complex novel which works well on many levels and is a significant study of race and social relations in 1930s Alabama. It’s also a mystery story involving a capital crime with an exciting courtroom scene and a denouement that satisfactorily brought together various strands of the plot. Still very readable after 50 years. And so much to teach us about race, courage, class and childhood.
I'm currently reading The Resistance Man by Martin Walker. It's my first by this author and it's quite good at the moment!
Finished reading : As Darkness Falls by Bronwyn Parry

Another for my to-read list. You'll have to stop writing reviews that make me want to read the book... ;-P

Thanks Vicki! I wanted to put that in - there was so much more in the first few pages relating to Bruno and his love of his lifestyle - I could only cover a little bit! He had more named feathered friends;)
Currently entrenched in the outstanding novel, Cloaked in Blood, by LS Sygnet. Not an Australian author but her writing is as intense of any Aussie authors I read. This is one of a series that grabs, holds and is enjoyed
I finished reading : The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner 5★WOW what a fantastic read. Hope to post my review tomorrow.
