Hope you enjoy it Brenda. That's funny you're reading the latest in the series and I'm reading the start of it. I might get to that one before she writes the next one ;)
I just finished The Midnight Promise: A detective's story in ten cases by Zane Lovitt. It won the 2013 Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction and I recommend it :) Review here --> https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Now my plan is to read as many of the Michael Connelly (Harry Bosch) books as I can get my hands on.

Great review David! And as Michael says - welcome back! I also love the Harry Bosch series and need to read some more:)

Hi Michael and thanks for the welcome back:)I had a few eye/vision issues which slowed my reading down for a bit. I am back on track again now and have plenty of books to catch up on :)

I have read a couple of Harry Bosch books and enjoyed them, so I guess it's his turn :) There are plenty to choose from!

Hey David, it's great to see you back :D
Thanks Mish :) It's great to be back. I have missed so many recent releases from my favourite authors over the last 12 months that I am spoilt for choice at the moment. It's a nice problem to have :)
Brenda wrote: "You'll have to "up" your reading speed to catch up David;)"LOL Brenda, I have to sleep sometimes :) Even so, if I could read a third of your 287 books in a year, I would be a happy chappy!

Glad to have you back with us and everything is well with your vision.
Finished reading The Darkest Hour by Katherine Howell I really enjoyed it.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I wondered if you've read any of Vicki Tyley's books David? Her books are on eReader only, so would suit you...she writes crime, mystery and suspense and is an Aussie author.
Her first is Thin Blood, followed by Brittle Shadows, Sleight Malice, Fatal Liaison and Bitter Nothings. She also has a short one out Two Birds which you can download from the book page from GR (on epub) and another one is due out mid this year:)
I highly recommend her work...

Brenda, are you psychic? That was freaky - I was just looking up Vicki Tyley's books on the net when your email arrived. I will definitely download some and check them out. You know that crime fiction in an Aussie setting is definitely my go :)
Thanks Brenda.
And yes sleep is overrated :)
“‘In a few days they’ll call off the surveillance, then they’ll cut back the team working the case. They’ll say the leads have dwindled out, they don’t have the work for all those people any more and they’re needed elsewhere. Soon there’ll be just a couple still on it, but they can’t do much.’ He lowered his gaze. ‘Then it’ll be marked unsolved and filed away.’”I've just finished Frantic. A 5★ read. Katherine Howell has a new fan. :)
As an aside, when I finished, I read through the Amazon reviews and was surprised to find a less than glowing review from a reviewer whose opinion I usually value. Her beef was she didn't like Sophie, whereas I liked her a lot… even when she wasn't thinking straight. For me, it made her more human. I’m glad I didn't check out the reviews before I read the book.
Next up is a novel that’s been on my to-read list since 2010. The Death Contingency by Nancy Lynn Jarvis
Last night I started reading Hades by Candice FoxI can't put it down as it's REALLY good. I should be finished it tonight :)
Nice work Brenda - about time you read a Garry Disher novel :) Definitely one of my favourite authors.
Thanks David, it was because of you that I picked it up! It definitely wasn't on my "to be read soon" list;)
Finished reading Hades by Candice FoxI LOVED IT!

No I haven't Peter... Dead Like You isn't one I have on my TBR though I have others by Peter James - Are you enjoying it?
If I had to choose a favourite author, it'd be Erica Spindler. She writes fast-paced easy reads with lots of suspense. I read half of her latest, Justice for Sara in one sitting yesterday and didn't want to put it down. Highly recommended.

What else would you highly recommend of hers?

Most of them but definitely Blood Vines.

Thanks I'll this one as well. No in fact I'll add all of them lol
Sharon wrote: "Thanks I'll this one as well. No in fact I'll add all of them lol"I've just checked through my ratings and there's a couple I gave 4 stars and one 3 stars, so if you trust my opinion, might be an idea to leave those for now:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... (I hope that lists the Erica Spindler titles on my shelf.)
There are other titles that may not be on my list, because I read them prior to Goodreads and didn't get around to adding to my bookshelves.
