Hey everyone! I'm not sure if anyone lives nearby, but I wanted to post this. Jodi will be at the store I work at to promote her new book, Handle With Care on Friday, March 6th at 7pm. I work at Book Revue on Long Island (Huntington, NY). If anyone is interested and needs more information, I would be happy to give it to you. I'm so excited and just had to share it with all of you!

Thanks. She is great and a really nice, down-to-earth person. I wanted to post this so anyone else, who might be close enough and interested, could come.

The Oak Brook,IL one is on Sun March 15 2pm at borders. I live in Albuquerque New Mexico but I'm from Iowa. So I would be taking a road trip with my two friends from Iowa

I just found out about her appearance in Ridgewood, NJ at Bookends on Saturday, march 7 at 1:00. I called and bought my book over the phone to reserve a seat. Anyone else from here going to this event? I can't wait!
I'll be going to the Chicago IL signing at Borders....i'm super excited....it's going to be one long lunch break that day!!!!
I am going this Sunday..March 8th, in Madison, CT...sold out! I picked the book up today...cant wait!

Ohhh that stinks!!! Will be able to catch one of her other signings? I think she has 3 between the 15th/16th in the Chicago area. The one at Oakbrook, one at a Borders in Chicago and I think a college in Naperville, which is like at 7pm Monday. I hope you at least get to one of them.

She did personalize Handle With Care, and I brought my favorite..19 Minutes..she signed that as well.
She talked about future ideas and books too..they sounded awesome, of course!

I saw Jodi Picoult on Saturday in NJ. What a nice person she is! She read three excerpts from her book and answered a few questions from the standing room only crowd. She personalized the books as well. We were also allowed to take her picture! I would have bought an older book in addition if I had known she would sign a second book, too. Oh well. I will definitely catch her again if she comes around for her next book. I had so much fun talking with other book addicts while we were waiting, and it was great to meet one of my favorite authors in person!
Rose Ann, I am going up to Oakbrook (Chicago suburbs) Sunday for her signing. I can't wait. I am torn, I had the book on order at the library but haven't started it, trying to decide if I just want to wait until I get my own Sunday to start it.
I havent started it yet either. She did read from 3 characters...sounded terrific..of course...lolI have to finish my current book before I start this one....few more days!

Is anyone going to the signing in L.A. at The Grove? I went last year and it was PACKED. I got my book signed and a photo with Jodi. I even asked her a question during the Q&A session! But the line took forever, I think this time I will try and get there a bit earlier.
ALSO I would like to congratulate all the group members for making this such a successful group! I think when I joined last year around this time, there were less than 70 members. NOW look at us! Jodi would be so proud! I will try and mention her loyal readers when I see her next friday. Read her interview recently posted here on goodreads!
Hey all!!I was so excited to meet Jodi! I went to the signing in Atlanta, GA, and it was phenomenal. She is so down to earth, and just incredible! I hope those of you that got to meet her thoroughly enjoyed it as well!! :)
My daughter and I went yesterday to Oakbrook, IL (Chicago suburbs) for Jodi's reading and signing and it was incredible! The bookstore had told me a couple weeks ago they expected a lot of people and that people were often lined up by 7am (store opened at 9). So we left home at 4am and got there shortly after 7 to find 2 cars! in the lot. But in the end it was soooo worth it. Jodi is as wonderful in life as she is in her writing. We got 3 books signed and I just couldn't be happier. Hopefully a couple of other girls will join us here as I told htem about our group while in line for the signing.
Went to the signing in Chicago and it was so much fun! Being pregnant and reading this book has been somewhat of a challenge, but there's no way that I could have waited to read it!
Hey everyone!! I just got home from meeting Jodi! She is so nice, and I couldn't believe how pretty she is in person. She read a little from Handle With Care and then she had a Q & A. One of the questions was about her upcoming books and thanks to everyone on here, I knew about House Rules, but she talked a little about her book coming out in 2011. It's mainly involved with embryo separation and gay rights. I'm sooo excited. Also, (and I hope I'm not rambling) she said that she saw My Sister's Keeper and she said that she didn't have much say on the movie, but that Cameron Diaz is good in it and they they DID change the ending..so any MSK fans need to close their eyes for the last ten minutes and then go home and re-read the book! I just wanted to thank everyone on here, because without this group, I wouldn't have known she was coming to my town!!
We are going to a Book-signing on Saturday 2nd May @ Brackley, Northamptonshire, UK.I met her last year when she was doing her Change of Heart book.
