message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I used to not like Obama, but I'm fine with him now...so, if u hate Obama, then GET OVER IT! Nothin u can do now...

message 6: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Why are you fine with him now? What changed your mind?

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

IDk. I just changed my mind. Besides, it was silly. I didn't even kno why I didn't like him.

message 8: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Oh. Well, in that case, alright. Do you know why you like him? Or are you just saying, "Because he's president, I am happy with him"?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

IDK...I used to think he was a secret Muslim, but I decided tht was ridiculous...and I didn't say I liked him...i said I'm fine with him.

message 10: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Okay, that is all I was wondering about. :-)

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

k...:D

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

What the fuck is wrong with Muslims? You have a problem with someone not being christian? Just because a small group of Muslims are terrorists doesn't give anyone the right to group all Muslims as terrorists...

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

I WASN'T SAYING THT!!!
But wouldn't you be a bi frighened if you though the prez was a Muslim?!
Even tho I don't think tht anymore.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Um, no, I wouldn't be frightened if we had a Muslin president.

message 15: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments I have a question....do you all really understand what it means to be Muslim? Or even what it means to be a Christian?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

What is your definition of muslim?

message 17: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments A person who is a follower of the Islamic law, ethics, philosophy, etc. A believer/follower of/in the Qur'an, Muhammad as the Last Prophet, and the Pillars.

What is your definition of Muslim and Christian?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Muslim: I agree with you, following Islamic law.
Christian: someone who believes in god and jesus and all that er, stuff, a follower of the bible.

message 19: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Okay, now that's not all that Christianity is about but I can I ask you something else?

Who is Jesus? Who is God?
(I just want you to really understand what I mean when I talk about Christianity.) :-)

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

God is a mythical person who creates, destroys, changes everything and has only given the knowledge of him to some people and has made some pretty stupid decisions just so he could send people to hell.
Jesus is his eternally damned son.

Neither exist. They are characters in stories that have always been changed so we know that truth has been squashed.

message 21: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Can I ask you some questions?
Do you really know what the Bible says? Have you actually read it? Or are you just running on what someone else has told you?

All of your accusations aren't truly about Christianity.

Another thing, what exactly do you believe?

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe in evolution because there is more evidence.

Kathleen, I've been to church (and not being skeptic about it) and read some of the bible (the kids version) and I went to VBS for like 4 years in a row. my dad has read me some when he was proving a point to me (like how "god" is SOOOOOOO nice and forgiving like when he shot fire down at earth and that man offered up his daughters to hte villagers to rape instead of the angles.)

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Why were you asking if we "actually knew" what it meant to be Muslim in the first place? Are you saying that we don't know what it really means to be muslim and they are harmful??!!

message 24: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) | 299 comments some people are muslum and are harmful. some athiests are harmful. some chrstans are. but that doesnt mean they all are!

message 25: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments True, Sarah Jean. There are harmful people in any religion, worldview, etc.

Miss Independent,
Can you give me some evidence please? Or just a link to a place that I can read about some evidence. I haven't found any good stuff yet.
And I am trying to understand the point you were making about church, VBS, and all that...
No, I just wanted to know if you knew what the 5 pillars were. What the Qur'an says about those who aren't a Muslim.

Oh Kathleen, you are co-signing everything Sara Jean says! Look at the other side would you! Just because he's a different relegion than you racist people are doesn't mean he isn't american!

message 28: by Keyanah (last edited Feb 20, 2009 02:21PM) (new)

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments I agree! And why must everyone argue about religion all the time? These are my views.

Obama is NOT Muslim. Even if he was, what difference does it make? He still wants to help America, and his religion doesn't change ANYTHING about it.

I, personally, believe in both God and evolution. There is evidence for both. I think God created man, but not the man of today. I think man evolved into what it is today. And people can still have their views on how man was created, but that's my belief.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanx for backing me up, Drizzleherb!

message 30: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments You are very welcome! You're right :D

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

I hate Kathleen and Sara Jean! They are such racists!

message 32: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments Yeah...It offends me how they act, sometimes, since I'm black.

message 33: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 05, 2009 05:14PM) (new)

I just talk bad to them!

message 34: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments lol.

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments Hey, wanna be friends? If so, send me a friend request!
gtg. BYE!

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. I will think about!

message 37: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Cassie and Drizzleherb-
I am really very sorry if I offend you! I try to not make things personal or against any one person on this group. Of course, we are talking about politics and Obama so that doesn't count. I am not racist, Cassie, as I have have firmly said before. Stop forcing that title on me! I have said nothing against "races" and I never put down Obama because he's black.

Cassie, I have looked at the other side. Why would I argue if I hadn't? Before I get involved in a debate about any topic, I make sure that I have studied both sides!
Drizzleherb, you think that Theistic Evolution is okay? Would you say that there is a definite way things happened? (This isn't religion by the way, just a question)
Also,do you think that religion shouldn't affect the political areas of life?

To finish, I really think that you guys need to stop taking things I say personally. I am not talking about you. This group is about Obama/McCain/politics. It's a debate forum and so I think that I should be able to have a little freedom of speech in presenting my side without being labeled "racist" for no good reason!

message 38: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) | 299 comments okay dude. it is not racist to not like obama, because i do like him, but i like mccain better.

NOW why dont you tell me where i ever said i was racist

message 39: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) | 299 comments Definition of racist:

"hatred or intolerance of another race or other races."

but i dont i have friends who are othe races i have heros who are. i just like somebody better then an african american. that is NOT racisum

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Well you are saying that he willl not be a good president! I personally take that comment as hurtful. If Obama would be on goodreads then you all wouldn't say that to his face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

And on the polls you are always voting him as he is awful and I hat Obama!!!!!!! Think About That!

message 42: by Oceanwaves (new)

Oceanwaves (oceanwavesheartsoul) | 185 comments And were you the on that said having a muslim president was a scary thought? Or was that someone else?

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't say that! He's probably not muslim! Ask Sara Jean or Kathleen! They are the ones that talk about President Obama like a dog! And they a worship the loser mccain!

message 44: by Sarah jean (new)

Sarah jean blank (Sarahjean) | 299 comments its saraH jean. and i do NOT worship mccain or obama, i like mccain a bit better. jeeze.

and no that was nt me or kathleen.

also, i do not hink he is muslim.

also i have NEVER voted him aweful or i hate obama.

message 45: by Kathleen (last edited Feb 06, 2009 05:51PM) (new)

Kathleen | 243 comments Cassie, calm down. You are blowing up in a forum that is supposed to be for debating.
Now to clear the air of your false accusations..
*People on this group said that Bush wasn't a good president. I could say that's hurtful. In fact, they said some very mean things. Was that racist?
*This is a debate. If Obama was on this group, I wouldn't say anything different. Why? Because I have been bringing up valid arguments and have said nothing "hateful" against a race or personal individual.
*I have never once voted on those polls saying that I "hate" Obama. I just really, really dislike his politics!
*No, he's not Muslim. He is more Atheistic and Marxist than anything else....
*Lastly, I do NOT worship McCain. There are no men that I would ever "worship". No human is worthy of that.

message 46: by Oceanwaves (new)

Oceanwaves (oceanwavesheartsoul) | 185 comments Oh, Cassie I was talking to Kathleen. lolz :D

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh! Sorry!

message 48: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 07, 2009 06:15AM) (new)

Yes, I am blowing up because I am upset!

message 49: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah (drizzleherb-peacelover) | 56 comments Okay, Kathleen. I'm sorry if I've said anything that offended you. I promise from now on that I won't say anything bad about you. I'll just debate.

And about your question, I don't really believe that science put man on Earth. I just believe what I was taught in Catholic school as a Kindergartener.

message 50: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 07, 2009 06:58AM) (new)

I probably won't say anything bad about you. I never did like you but I am sick of all the racism!
