True. However, there are lots of match-ups in books where one person is more experienced than the other and the sex is hot and steamy and all-around good reading. It can be done. Even involving the dreaded virgin female.

Yes I actually really liked her in Aerons book. I am not a fan of Olivia and can't stand her. She and Aeron can keep each other. Legion deserves so much better than him.

I definitely want a grown-up, both in body and mind, with experience in different areas of life. Someone who behaves in a mature way and makes William behave like that as well.
Guys...Genna said that in Kains' book Gilly has her 18th birthday,so she is not so young realy. I mean if you think that the rest of the lords are hundreds of years old and some of their girls are like 23-24,so THAT'S an age difference but they are working out just fine!I think she is the ideal woman 4 Willy cause she is simple,human, innocent, she kind of completes him and that's very sweet!
As for the bed-hotness thing,that is not a matter af age,or experiance but chemistry, and William and Gilly have a lot going on....
I love the idea of Galen and Legion together!!!
Well, I always said that it is kind of weird how these awesome, age old beings fall in love with these (often) plain and boring humans who must be children in their eyes. But some are immortal beings themselves or at least more mature or, as you said, the characters have at least some chemistry.
And there I disagree with you, I don't see any romantic/sexual chemistry between William and Gilly. When I see them together I can only roll my eyes. They'd fit better into a brother/sister relationship and I really hope Gena sees that and gives William an immortal woman who is NOT human, innocent and sweet. I don't think a Gilly-kind of woman fits him.
But hey, since I'm not a fan of him I don't worry that much. It's just that I don't want to read a whole book about the two together. That would be bad.
Its probably just me but what I noticed in some books is that the author will introduce or have a character that is friends or what not with a character and then readers start talking about how they want them to be together and then the author caves and instead of doing their books the way they want to they go ahead and let their readers do all the decision for them. i.e. Blay and Qhuinn from black brotherhood series.
and I believe the same was the same for Skye and Dimiti from Christine feehans dark series.

Well I just think that since William has obviously slept with every kind of woman he could get his hands on,the innocence and simplicity that Gilly has is what he needs,not just what he wants... and I think since that he has admitted in the darkest seduction that he can't stop dreaming about her,that's all the sexual chemistry it takes. I'm just soooo anxious to read how William's life will turn out!!!
I do want to see the more mature side of William, even though he's hella funny.Also, I'm fascinated by his family and what's going to happen with his Horsemen and his curse. Really looking forward to his story and not just the romantic side of it.

I know!He is such a compicated mysterious character,what with Licifer being his brother and all... He is the kind of good-bad guy you know?The guy who does whatever he likes as long as it doesn;t touch his heart because the simplest thing can bring him croumpling down...

Jessica, I agree that authors often pander to readers but Skylar/Dimitri didn't have a history of friendship in the Dark series. Skylar has been in the series since Gabriel's book. Dimitri was introduced many, many books later as a lonely, barely-hanging-on hunter/warrior but they hadn't met and, when they do, Dimitri recognizes Skylar as his immediately (in that Carpathian way!). Maybe readers did pressure Feehan towards Dimitri and Skylar together (I don't really recall that). The agitation about the two of them is more about when will their book be written.And, I'm OK with Gilly/William as long as Gilly has some time to grow up. It seems wrong right now because she is a still under-age and he is so very ancient and jaded.

Sorry, no William and Gilly... It was bad enough I had to endure Strider and the Annoying (the worst LOTU book ever) and Paris with boring Sienna... At least with William Gena could do me a favor and give him someone I think fits. LOL

I agree with Anna. I like William and Gilly together. I know she is young but maybe he needs someone innocent to tame him a bit. But, I also like William the way he is. He cracks me up.

LOL!! Gotta put my two cents in... I like the idea of Legion and Galen together. Simply because if Galen has someone so emotionally fragile it might teach him that every action has consequences on other people's lives. That said, I don't particularly like either of the characters.
As for William, I do like him. He has a mysterious past and is quite hilarious. When I see him with Gilly tho, all i can think of is that she's a kid crushing on her older brother's friend. They might end up together, but she has to grow up first.
Let's see how Gena plays it. I usually end up liking the way she pairs the couples, no matter how incompatible they seem at the start (Paris n Sienna) but I don't have blind faith anymore (Strider and Kaia).
I agree that William is mysterious. I love how all these little hints about him are dropped throughout the stories.
I'm so excited to find out more about his curse, the Horsemen, and his...family.
I know. The tid bits make him so intriguing.
I just met William today in the 2nd book and I adore him... From the sec he opened the door I was in love haha I'm looking forward to getting to know him better in future books

I have no idea. When speaking about the LOTU series Gena only mentions Cameo and Torin. But I think the series is very popular and if she (and the publisher) want to have more books, William and the new Lords (Cameron etc.) will surely get a story. If not, he might be part of the Angels. We were already told he'll be in Koldo's book.
I guess whenever there's a mention of Hell now.. we'll get a teeny bit more info abt William? Hummmm.. I'll be dying for his book soon.
I think you will need patience, Arushi. I can't see him getting his book anytime soon.

I think I'm William and Gilly's biggest fan! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE BOOK'S RELEASE! IF,they actually,end up together.. Because I don't think I'll read Will's story if he's with someone else. What I don't get though,is Will's curse,isn't the woman he loves suppose to kill him or something? :O

I'd love to see a William book. The remaining Lords aren't that interesting to me (of course ill still read them) probably because they weren't as prominent as the previous characters but William has a presence that can't be denied. Even if his book were another spin off I'd love to see a whole novel not just a novella. He's too interesting to me not to have his own secrets told.
@Stephanie - Thats a good point (abt the spin off). The way things are, it just might go that way. Jeaniene Frost's Night Prince novels come to mind. Especially considering just how much of mystery there is around William, and that one spin off (Angels of the Dark) has already been created. Its only fair that the demons get represented. Tho.. William isn't a demon.. so maybe I should say Hell be represented?
@ArushaYes. The only problem is that I'm starting to get the names and characterization on Gena's books confused with all of Larissa Ione's books. Angels demons four horseman. It's a lot to remember.

Well I just read some of the messages here and let me just say that I am also a William and Gilly fan. I LOVE William he is my favorite character from the series. I think what I like about him is that he is Lucifers son (right) so technically he is bad yet he tends to the the right things at times and help the right people.
Gilly is growing and she wasn't a child by any means. We know that she suffered a lot by abuse and that she was living and supporting herself. She will be well over 18 by the time their book comes around. I love that William shows how much he cares for her but understands she is still to young. Maybe thats what he needs a young woman that was almost broken but that fought to survive.
I just hope William continues being who he is I am looking forward to learning more about him. I like Gilly and I hope their story is exciting and how can she not become immortal if I hook up with the son of Lucifer I hope he finds a way to give me immortality so I can live forever with him.

It's always the same in PNR/UF. Unfortunately.
But you talk as if they will end up together. Did Gena say anything about that? I really hope she won't go that route!
