Is it just me or is there near no characters who actually drive in YA?

There are very few (who are mentioned at least) and most of them are characters in the contemporary/realistic genre. The only book that isn't in that genre where there is a character (well multiple) is The Darkest Minds.

Yamiele I get more hindered when a book has too many books in the series! If there are more than 3-4 I tend to shy away from it (unless it is Harry Potter of course!)

I'm the opposite. I'm kind of on the lookout for big series vs. trilogies lately. So many great books come in groups of 3 though haha.
