Teresa Reading Hemlock (Hemlock, #1) by Kathleen Peacock . It's okay so far, just waiting to get to the good part.

The only book to ever make me cry.
And it was because of a PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP.
Enjoy.

Really? Wow, now I'm really curious to read the book that made Daniel cry :P

message 10806: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Ok, I didn't cry.
One single tear ran down my left cheek. Even though I tried so hard not to let it out.
But I never thought that a platonic relationship would be the thing to make me cry.
You'll know the part when you read it.

Thank you! Well, because I was not impressed with book 4 (it was okayyy) or book 5 (ugh!), I have lowered my expectations for book 6 and I have the feeling it will be A LOT better :)

It is a LOT better! I didn't love book 4 or 5 either, but this one is definitely epic and makes reading those two books worth it!

I haven't cried over a novel since the last Mitch albom story I read, which was a few years. That dude's got a direct line to my girly side haha.

The last thing I read that made me cry was just this last October and it was the final issue of the comic book Y: The Last Man. Was not ready for those feels.

I'm reading this one for a book club... The opening of this cozy mystery sounds like something out of CSI. Yeahh!

Don't blame you... It's a really great movie! I've been meaning to read the book ever since I learned there was a book, so I'm glad I finally got to it!

message 10822: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments I am loving ALL the books being talked about right now! Falling Kingdoms I liked a lot but had some trouble connecting to the characters. Grave Mercy I loved but I think Dark Triumph is even better! And @Jenny, Bitterblue was so interesting in that sense! Especially since he was part of all three books. I felt terrible for those people! I agree though, it was still good but I loved Graceling and Fire more :)

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 290 comments I just finished The Young Elites and liked it a lot. I was going to get back to either Red Rising or Me Before You, but neither are exactly easy, happy reads and I feel like I need that given The Young Elites is rather dark. I'm not sure what I am going to read next but I'll probably end up re-reading something.

message 10826: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 2372 comments Nearly done with the audio of Icefall Icefall by Matthew J. Kirby and like it so far even though it is a slow starter. I am over half done with the audio of Say What You Will Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern and like it so far. I like the audiobook narrator from her work on Rainbow R.'s books so that may be helping me get into the story.

I gotta jump on the bandwagon here and agree with everyone else who loved book 6. I wasn't crazy about book four or five either, but Clare did a great job with the last book in this series.

message 10837: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) I finished and loved Fall of Night - Rachel Caine. Her books are marvellous, shame Daylighters is her final book of this series. But that is what I will read next on Kindle 1. I gave up on 13:24: A Story of Faith and Obsession - M. Dolon Hickmon due to the Child Abuse I was reading in the story. I couldn't cope with the storyline as it was, so I said so (that was from Netgalley). So I will put Follow The Leader - Mel Sherratt on Kindle 2 to read afterwards.

To those who told me I wouldn't be disappointed by City of Heavenly Fire...you were RIGHT! Wow, this is back to what I loved about the series in the first three books and felt were missing from books 4 and 5. Witty banter, amazing character development, incredible plot, shocking twists. Love it! And Clary hasn't once commented about how Jace smells like "soap" like she did about a zillion times in the last book, yay!

I agree with you, I don't like to read about vampires either. However I have loved all of Julie Kagawa's previous books her Iron Fey series, and her new one Talon.
I think that the Blood of Eden series concept is a great one. Once I started The Immortal Rules, I couldn't put it down.
Thanks for your comment. :)
