This book was kind of a historical fiction slash romance book. A woman travels over the seas with her dad (mom is dead I think) and she ends up teaching in a one room cabin and falls in love with a native. At one point they run away to get married and people go out and hunt for them, she almost gets raped by some gross hunter man yada yada yada. There is a sequel to this book that I want to read.
