Megan | 17 comments I was so excited to find this challenge. I set my goal to 100 books last year, which was fun and all, but this is a little more tricky, although I have found a couple books for Z, and I might read something by Xenophon for X. I've got a lot of time on my hands, so I've decided to go through the alphabet twice as suggested, but once for titles and once for authors.
So far I have

A- Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson
B- Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale
C- Crispin: the Cross of Lead by Avi
D- The Duchess of Malfi- John Webster
E- The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm by Nancy Farmer
F- The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
G- The Golden Age by Kenneth Grahame
H- Harrowing the Dragon by Patricia A. McKillip
I- Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
J
K
L- The Light of the Oracle by Victoria Hanley
M- The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy
N- Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind vol. 4 by Hayao Miyazaki
O
P- The Perilous Gard by Elizabeth Marie Pope
Q- The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
R
S- The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith
T- Two-thousand One: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke
U- Unexpected Magic by Diana Wynne Jones
V
W- The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
X
Y
Z

And on authors I've got

A- Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
B
C- Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card
D- Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
E
F
G
H- Hoot by Carl Hiaasen
I- The Star of Kazan by Eva Ibbotson
J- House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones
K- Lyric Poems by John Keats
L
M- The Early Works of Edna St. Vincent Millay (although I'm not sure if this should actually go under S for St.)
N- Five Children and It by E. Nesbit
O- Sing Down the Moon by Scott O'Dell
P- The Trial and Death of Socrates by Plato
Q
R- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
S- The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
T- A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain
U
V
W- The Castle of Otranto by Horace Walpole
X
Y
Z

Wow, you're doing good already! Between school and work I feel like I haven't been able to read in weeks (even though its really only been a couple days)! I think that your M author can stay, you seem to be doing it by last names so that would be Millay.

Anyways, congratulations! Keep up the good work.

Megan | 17 comments Thanks! I'm not in school at the moment, and I work a grave-shift where I don't have to do anything besides stay awake, so that equals lots of reading time.

That's awesome. The last couple weeks I've been going crazy with school and work so by the time I have a few minutes to myself, I'm usually taking a nap. :)

Wow, you're working your way through. It might be easier to keep track if you include the whole alphabet in a post, and then update that one. That way you can see exactly what you have left in one post.

Just an idea.

Thanks for the suggestion, it looks alot better now. I finished The Golden Age this weekend for G, and I'm working on I, both for title and author, and my N author.

Haha, no problem. It can get really confusing trying to scroll through all the posts to see if you've already read a book with that letter. This way it's all right there and easy to read!

Karol Megan, wow! You're really closing in on it. Not too many blank spaces to go!

message 15: by Megan (new)

Megan | 17 comments Yeah, my problem now is that I keep reading books that don't fit in my blanks.
