N.V.R. Moore (nvrmoore) | 13 comments My vote is for Sin and Zarek :-)

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

I know he is not a DH, but a Blue Blood, I like Otto and my fave DH is Talon :)

message 3: by Keely (new)

Keely | 10 comments Ash would be my Favorite. But, Zarek is not far behind. I just love wounded bad boys!

message 4: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (snowqueenliisa) | 1 comments Well, my fave DH(s) is Zarek and Val. My fave character is Deimos though. I love that god.

message 5: by Lilmargarita (new)

Lilmargarita | 5 comments I love Ash, and I am not sure what he is but I love Savitar, too. Both would probably annoy the crap out of me the way they know EVERYTHING.

message 6: by Heather (new)

Heather (acheron623) | 2 comments I have loved all DH books and the DH's themselves. However, my all-time favorite would have to be ASH.

message 7: by N.V.R. (new)

N.V.R. Moore (nvrmoore) | 13 comments I dunno... Since I read "Dream Chaser", I've come to be really intrigued with Jaden. Ash is great but I haven't exactly liked the recent development with his character. I know Sherri felt it would bring us closer to Ash but, for me, it just made him too human. Less awe-inspiring.

Jaden reminds me of the old Ash in many ways with a hint of Simi tossed in, but there's also something buried deep with him that makes my fingers itch to dig. blasphemous as this will fave DH (even if he's not technically a DH) is now Jaden. Sorry, Ash. It was good while it lasted ;-)

I dunno...I guess I just haven't been able to take Ash seriously ever since I discovered he's more powerful than Artemis but always seems to let her control him--at the most inappropriate times when his DHs need him the most. I kinda lost respect for him with that. I tried to blame it on the blood bond he has with her but, once Kat's story explained that more thoroughly, I realized Ash just humors Artie too much with this whole fealty thing.

It's hard for me to respect and like someone who puts his word to a treacherous b*tch goddess before innocent lives. There were a LOT of DHs that died because Ash humored Artie by obeying her whims. If he was truly as powerful as Sherri tells us, he should've put her in her place already, IMHO. Hopefully, he'll grow some backbone with her in his story and not let his HEA do all the hard work.

message 8: by Andrea (new)

Andrea | 3 comments Ash is my fave!! I hate Artie, the heifer goddess!!! I have the opposite opinion. I felt bad for Ash in Kat's story. He missed so much of her life and I just keep thinking back to how he worships Marissa. He makes a great loving father figure. I do hope he puts Artemis in her place, but they are the epitome of Star - Crossed Lovers with waaaayy too much baggage to resurrect the relationship. Will find Ash's story interesting to see how Kenyon resolves the Artemis problem.

message 9: by N.V.R. (new)

N.V.R. Moore (nvrmoore) | 13 comments Meh. I felt almost nothing when it came to Ash and Katra. I mean, seriously, how could any woman (let alone Artie) keep a child hidden for 11,000 years?? You're telling me she didn't open her mouth and blab to anyone about it in all that time?? This is ARTIE we're talking about here--the temper tantrum queen!! And yet she didn't open her mouth once. Not once? Riiiight.

Not to mention, Artie's reasons for keeping it a secret from him seemed silly after so much time. I mean seriously, you gave the man a child and you won't tell him about it after 11,000 years because you're afraid he'll be mad at you??? Are these gods we're talking about or kindergarteners??

So yeah, the whole situation was hard to swallow for me. I didn't feel sorry for Ash as much as I felt embarrassed for him. To me it made him look a bit blind and foolish instead of the all-knowing, all-powerful god Sherri claims him to be. And Kat calling him "Daddy" right away? LOL Um, yeah, I found that weird.

Sherri said Marissa's gonna play a big role in Ash's book so I can't wait to see how that's resolved.

I don't see Ash and Artie as star-crossed lovers at all. At least, not in the way of Romeo & Juliet. Those two characters wanted to be together but were kept apart by others. Ash doesn't want to be with Artie anymore. She had her chance and she blew it.

I CAN, however, see Ash with Thia (NOT Tory!) because Thia looks just like Artie and has the attitude to match. I think they'd make a much more interesting pair and can already see the fireworks from here.

But yeah, I still have to go with Jaden as my fave DH now. Maybe it's because he's more mysterious, maybe it's because Ash himself can't control Jaden? Or maybe it's just because I miss the old Ash and see those qualities in Jaden?

I'm still going to be first in line at my B&N to get "Acheron" when it comes out. LOL The mystery may be gone for me with Ash but I still wanna see how it's going to end :-) I wouldn't miss seeing Artie get b*tchslapped (--FINALLY!!) for the world! hahaha

message 10: by Soully (new)

Soully (soullygifted) | 6 comments I love Zarek and Sin and Wren...
But I really love Ash.

message 11: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments My favorite would have to be VALERIUS MAGNUS! oh, and since Nicky (Nick Gautier) became a DH, definatly him. He's grown so much throughout the series, I'm dying to read his story.

message 12: by Laura (new)

Laura (laurastamps) I'm with you, Chasidy! Val is my fav for sure. LOVE than man! What a yummy guy (wicked grin)!!

Then Ash (of course).

message 13: by pianogal (new)

pianogal Right now, my fav is Zarek, but I just finished his book, so I could be biased...

message 14: by Sam8 (last edited Sep 08, 2008 06:22PM) (new)

Sam8 Val for DH.
Otto for Squire.
Vane for WereHunter. How can you not love him?? He likes it when a girl eats. . . :-)
Julian for God or DemiGod.

And of course Acheron . . hey I even named my dog after him. :-) I'm forever getting asked where I got the name from, but every once in a while I get . . . "Oh you must read SK?"

message 15: by Paula (new)

Paula (paulaan) Has to be Acheron, followed closely by Alexion

message 16: by Penny (new)

Penny | 4 comments Mine has always been Ash and I just love that you named your dog after him lol.

message 17: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1 comments I'm only on the second book, but I love the chemistry between Kyrian and Amanda!

message 18: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (aixoise) | 1 comments Acheron has always held a special place amongst my literary crushes. But I'll agree with those who say that Jaden has them intrigued. Sherrilyn's clearly throwing us interesting bits and pieces about him which is how I fell in love with Acheron in the first place. Closely behind those two however is Sin.

I recently was able to accompany my husband on a business trip to Las Vegas and just the thought of it being his town kept me smiling the whole time. The kicker is when we went to the Paris Casino and there was a chinese restaurant called "Ah Sin". I just *had* to take a picture!

message 19: by April (new)

April (aprilc) | 1 comments Zarek is my favorite DH thus far... The tortured soul! But I am not up-to-date on the series!

I also love Nick...

And Ash is pretty amazing!

message 20: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (gravy) I'm only on book three (Talon) but I can't wait to read about Zarek. Like Keely said, I love the wounded bad boys!

message 21: by Cat Singh (new)

Cat Singh | 10 comments Ash Ash Ash Ash Ash Ash all the way!!!!

and next i'd have to say Kyrian....

message 22: by Nickie (new)

Nickie (momofbva) | 1 comments I have not ready the series in any sort of order.
In fact I only got into the series by accident because i was given one of her books and fell in love. I read them in the order i can find them at the library or any of the stores...

They all hold a special place.
I stayed up for 2 days reading Archeron.(will be re-reading that)
however Jarek holds my interest right now.

message 23: by Karina (new)

Karina | 1 comments I love all DH characters but i have to get in the ash wagon. He is my fav. The book made him more real. Sigh. Next i will say Vane and Kyrian.

message 24: by Jess (new)

Jess Valerius is my favorite dark hunter. I think because he seemed so much more broken than all the others in my opinion.

Next up would probably be Sin. Although, he's not technically a dark hunter, but he's on the payroll. So I'm going to say he counts!

message 25: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (gravy) Can I change my answer? I originally said that my fave was Zarek, but I've pretty much read all the books and I always get excited when Savitar shows up!
I know he isn't a DH, but......

message 26: by Amy (new)

Amy (nfglrygrl) It's really hard to decide, but I think my favorite DH is still Talon, after reading through Acheron. I don't know, he makes me laugh.

message 27: by Fangirl Musings (last edited Nov 24, 2008 03:19PM) (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) God- talk about the most impossible question ever! *Laughs*...Okay, okay...if I HAD to answer, which is painfully hard, since there are aspects of every DH that rock. Talon's sense of humor, Valerius' refined dignity (sexy as hell in my opinion!), Zarek's unpridictability, Sundown's charming polite could go on for ever, but alas, getting back to the point...if tortured & my life depended on giving one name above all others (*laughs*- yes, I'm that hardcore of a fan, ya'll)...I'd have to say Nick.

I think the primary reason being is that all of his emotions and experiences are so fresh for him, and therefore fresh for us. Unlike a lot of other Dark-Hunters, their tramatic life changing points are in the past, and we see those events through the DH's thoughts and words. With Nick, we get to see his evolving life directly through his eyes. Despite his recent "ebil ways," (as Sherri calls it), a part of me just can't help but continue to love him, knowing he'll see the light eventually.

God- that makes NO sense, I know...but there you go. My bad attempt at picking just ONE Dark-Hunter that rocks it harder than any other.

message 29: by Abigail Childs (new)

Abigail Childs | 9 comments This post must be a trick question right? I have to chose a favorite dark hunter... good goddesses! Okay so obviously Ash because when it comes to my friends and I, my ability to relate to Ash goes through the roof after Ash.... I doubt she counts but to darn bad.. SIMI!!!!! She's just to darn cute to resist and her complete "innocence" ie "Daddy he pissed me off can I eat him?" this is just hysterical and is the perfect character to offset all of the dark, often angry energy the Kenyon's books produce.

message 30: by Chasidy (last edited Feb 13, 2009 01:31PM) (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I've answered his pole before but I can never seem to actually pick one answer. I originally picked Valerius BUT the more I read over these books, the more I fall in-love with the characters. I guess in short I'd have to say ALL of the New Orleans gang.

But I'm really REALLY starting to love Nick more and more. Oh and Talon.. I just want to eat him up. Hell, the same goes for Val. Oh! And Ash, if he sang Savin' Me to me, the book Tickle My Pickle wouldn't be the only book on my shelf. HAHA, SEE WHAT I MEAN? It's a shame us women can't find men like them. Sometimes when I'm re-reading a book I yell, "Artemis(you heifer goddess), I summon you to human form" and hope maybe this time she'll listen to me. LOL!

message 31: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I am a die hard fan for all of these guys who have been through hell and came out on top just to be alone for the majority of their lives. But, I have to say that if it came down to it... It would be Valerius ALL THE WAY. I reread Seize the Night at least once a month if not more...I think my attraction is based on the fact that I identify with Tabby more than any other of SK's Lovely Lady's. And Valerius was made for her.

I have not read Dream Warrior, or Fury's Story yet so I do not know what new characters she has introduced besides the ones in One Silent Night. So,I am really looking forward to reading them.

Oh Chasidy you are too funny! But I completely understand. I have tried calling for a few of the DH's but it hasn't worked yet.:(

message 33: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyhill) I'd have to say Ash. But that goes without saying. As for a DH I'd say Valerius. Love that guy. And after that Talon, just thinking about him on his bike give me chills.

Kim, I'm afraid it will never work as I have tried to call for them too. LOL

message 34: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 19 comments OK this really is a trick question! I'm only on the 5th book but it seems like whenever I finish one book then THAT DH is my favorite! HAHA!! They all have certain characteristics to DIE for....=)

message 35: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Wendy and Kim, maybe we can both head to used bookstores and see if we can get our hands on the book Julian was in. Haha.. I can't remember who's stuck in it for the moment.

message 36: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments Chasidy, the last time I checked, the sucker stuck inside Julian's "ex-book" was still Priapus, his half-brother.

If you're planning a raid on the used bookstores, count me in. ;)

Wendy (wendyhill) Chasidy wrote: "Wendy and Kim, maybe we can both head to used bookstores and see if we can get our hands on the book Julian was in. Haha.. I can't remember who's stuck in it for the moment."

Chasidy, I'm leaving now, meet you there. LOL

message 38: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Alathea, I remembered last night who it was. I was brushing my teeth when all of a sudden Priapus popped into my head and I started laughing. Oh and you're right "ex-book". =(

Anyone else coming along for the bookstore raid? LOL

message 39: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments Should we bring supplies?

Or wear matching T-shirts? LOL

message 40: by Chasidy (last edited Mar 12, 2009 09:37PM) (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Perhaps we should have matching tshirts saying, "STAND BACK! Looking for my Fantasy Lover"

Haha.. what sort of supplies do you have in mind? By the way have you seen the almost cover of Fantasy Lover?

message 41: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments Whipped cream, chocolate, strawberries...Furry handcuffs. *huge grin*
But maybe not, I never much cared for Priapus. He's a bully.
If it was Julian (still) inside that book...Or Ash. Hmmm.

Almost cover?

message 42: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I'd prefer Valerius. No wait, Ash because Id want him to sing to me, but Talon would do too.

I cant remember what site it was that I was reading about SK and her "almost" cover for Fantasy Lover. They said it was a bit too.. revealing so they scratched that idea. It was a full body drawing of Julian and a single rose covering his, manly supplies. Lol, I wish I could remember where it was I saw that.

message 43: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments If you remember, let me know!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love roses? ;)

message 44: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I sure will. I think I'll go on a search for it later when I have a little more time.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

It has got to be Kyrian! It was the first DH novel I read and I couldn't put it down! It was so funny AND sexy! Go K and Amanda!!

message 46: by Liz (new)

Liz (sweetlizard) | 1 comments I loved Val and Zarek

message 47: by Holly (new)

Holly (velvetsun) A tie between Zarek & Ash.
I want both. ;)

message 48: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Liz, I love Val. He's just so.. yum!

Holly, you want both? Girl, I want all of them!

message 49: by Holly (new)

Holly (velvetsun) Chasidy wrote: "Liz, I love Val. He's just so.. yum!

Well ok...i admit, i'd like to grab all of them. I didn't want to seem greedy. :P

message 50: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Oh, Holly, I'm greedy when it comes to hot alpha men. If I could I'd have all of the New Orleans gang. Fiction totally sucks! =/ Why can't they be real?
