Stella, I have been asked about doing something like that (crossing them off for instance) before, but many people do like to have the list untainted because, for instance, they like to copy it to their own files for personal reading lists (and haven't been with the group from the beginning so haven't read all the group has)... It does say in that initial post that if you just open the next thread in the same folder you will find those titles already read by the group. Or, you can look at the book list if you like.

Alison and I are talking about other possibilities to achieve what you want while still accommodating the others. Give us a few days and we'll bring you our ideas - but in another thread so that it's easier for Alison to tally. Hope that sounds alright!

Thanks whichwaydidshego?, I understand, and agree that crossing them off would spoil the list that's why I suggested merely placing small * next to the title, that is subtle and yet signals it has been read.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to take care of this!
