My goodreads looks bizarre. Like HTML doesn't exist and we're in 1989, using our Commodore 64s to chat with one another. WTF is this? A sign from above that it is time for me to get it together and work on lesson plans for once?

Meen (meendee) | 1733 comments It's been going in and out all morning. Mine's looking OK now. How did you people LIVE like that?!

(I say you people b/c I was a later arrival to the online world.)

Kevin (KSprink) | 11469 comments well, everything was text based and you didn't load pages that had hinky 200kb graphics on them. all images were binary files as you had to actually download them prior to viewing. hard drives were 20mg and we used windows 3.1 with 520k of ram. then we walked to school uphill both ways in the snow to a one room schoolhouse

Félix (habitseven) | 24194 comments I started with Windows 3.1 with 64K RAM on my 386 Packard Bell PC. Prodigy, over a 1400 baud modem charged me by the minute to look at things while they appeared at the pace of an old turtle on downers. Surfing for porn was very frustrating in those days, Mindy.

Meen (meendee) | 1733 comments Bye, Jim. I guess we'll see you back here... in a couple months? (There's a LOT of porn to surf through.)
