Tricia | 12 comments I've been meaning to get out to grab The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie and The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, which I've already accidentally rated as a five on my profile. Anyone know how to un-rate things once you've done so?

Alexandra Tricia, just go to edit your review then click on "clear" next to the stars (yes, I've done that before too!)

BTW, Hugo Cabret is good :)

J-Lynn Van Pelt | 19 comments Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz. I am so excited to learn what is going on in Alex Rider's life. And the sequel to Stargirl.

Guilty Pleasure this Christmas...The companion novels to the TV show Supernatural. Hate to admit it, but they are close to the top of my Christmas list.

Alexandra These are on my Christmas wish list:

The Name of this Book is Secret by Pseudonymous Bosch

The Wall and the Wing by Laura Ruby

The Game Of Sunken Places by M.T. Anderson

The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter

I don't know that these are good, but they look interesting to me.

J-Lynn Van Pelt | 19 comments Janis just reminded me that I need to add M. T. Anderson's Octavian Nothing to my list. I love his book Feed and have been meaning to read the rest of his books.

Tricia | 12 comments J-Lynn, if you enjoyed Feed at all for the marketing/advertising/commercialism aspect of the book, I'd recommend Scott Westerfield's So Yesterday as well. It provides some solid lessons on marketing terminology while providing a fun and intriguing mystery/story.

message 16: by Ash (last edited Feb 25, 2009 02:14AM) (new)

Ash (departed_dearly) I've just made a new list for this year all in January for both my b-day and x-mas. The list included James Patterson's Maximum Ride: The Final Warning, Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn, and Philip Pullman's finishing touches to the His Dark Materials series.
