Austin (501stlegionnaire) | 29 comments I love the ROTS soundtrack. It's very tragic and amazing. The Arena is another one I like. Yay for John Williams!

EDIT:I'm gonna have to change my mind. Every single aspect of Star Wars music is awesome.

The Imperial March, Battle in the Snow, the Asteroid chase, escape from Cloud City leading up to the stirring finale as the Falcon takes off from Cloud City. Got to be the Empire Strikes Back.

Hello All, I'm Rod.

Barbara | 3 comments On November 24th, I went to see Star Wars in Concert at ScotiaBank Place in Ottawa, Ontario. It was amazing. Anthony Daniels introduced the clips and it had a full symphony. I have all the Star Wars music on my phone and listen to them frequently.

If you get a chance to see Star Wars In Concert it's well worth it. They had original costumes from the films there plus they had a lot of characters in costume to get your picture with. My profile picture is with Darth. I also have R2D2, Darth Maul, Stormtroopers.....

message 11: by Austin (new)

Austin (501stlegionnaire) | 29 comments It must have been an excellent experience. I hope that I can go some day.

If you go, bring a camera. Lots of people didn't know they had all the costumes etc there and missed out on gretting some great photos.

message 13: by Austin (new)

Austin (501stlegionnaire) | 29 comments How about a camcorder? I doubt it's possible but it would be great to just film the props and costumes.

They weren't checking bags or anything when we went in. They just asked that during the show not to take any flash photos.

Austin (501stlegionnaire) | 29 comments Ah, that's great.

message 26: by Tyro (new)

Tyro (ilovezayzay) | 17 comments this song is funny but it has curses so do not turn your computer full blast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjTUxZ...

I lurve John Williams. :D

message 28: by Jared (new)

Jared I love ALL the star wars music. But my favorite part of all is not in the original soundtrack, it is in the ultimate edition episode I. "The tide turns/the death of Darth Maul" The part where Anakin blows up the Federation Control Ship combines the "Duel of the Fates" theme with the "Force Theme" It is SO COOL.

(you can hear it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bxxkfw... )

message 29: by Alexander (new)

Alexander Draganov (darthsparhawk) The score of John Williams is truly great and for me it is not possible to pick just one theme, but the opening one is most iconic.

message 30: by Alexander (new)

Alexander Draganov (darthsparhawk) The Force theme in "The Force Unleashed" game is not bad.

message 31: by Redwallcrazy (new)

Redwallcrazy (redwallcrazybigkotfan) | 40 comments I like Phantom Menance, but I am not sure if I have said that before or not.

message 32: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Noah wrote: "I like the Cantina bands tune. I will also have to agree the score is truly phenominal."

Really? *said with idle curiosity.* That is actually my personal least favorite tune from Star Wars. I suppose its partially because when I watched it as a little kid I freaked out when Obi-wan cut off the guy's arm.

message 33: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Connection! I just remembered, Obi-Wan cut off the changling's arm in the cantina when she was chasing him. That's a personality trait. I love it when you can make connections between movies!

Haha. That was sarcasm, right?

message 36: by Captain Rex (new)

Captain Rex | 212 comments Yep. But I don't know why everybody is unnecessarily criticizing some of the most well-known Star Wars objects ever.

message 37: by Rachael (last edited Nov 22, 2010 09:19AM) (new)

Rachael Well, I did have a pretty good reasons, that was one of the scariest things I'd ever seen as a kid. So I really didn't like the music associated with it. I also was terrified when Luke fought the rancor and the snow monster. I literally couldn't watch.

message 38: by Alexander (new)

Alexander Draganov (darthsparhawk) Why, I loved the scenes :)

message 39: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (henleygrace) | 3 comments My favorite song is Han Solo and The Princess on the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack by John Williams.

message 40: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (henleygrace) | 3 comments Since I play oboe, I hope my band at school can play it and I can feature in the beginning. :D

message 41: by Stefy (new)

Stefy Nacchia (stefynacchia) | 1 comments My favorite songs are: Binary Sunset, Padme's Ruminations(It gives me shivers),The Birth Of the Twins(It makes me cry cause I remember Padme's last moments and the heart-breaking scream of Anakin ) and of course Victory Theme =)

message 42: by Jeff Diamond (new)

Jeff Diamond | 2 comments No love for the Imperial March? Whenever I have to go to work or get a call on my phone, that's the song that plays. Plus, when I go trooping with the 501st, I still always get a little giddy when I see Vader walking into a room to that music. (Even if I'm flanking him.)

message 43: by Jim (new)

Jim | 32 comments Imperial March and Astroid Field from Empire, Return of the Jedi (during Sarlacc duel), Into the Trap, and Forest Battle from Return of the Jedi. Duel of the fates from Phanthom Menace.

Last year for my birthday, my wife and I went to the Cincinnatti Pops as they were performing a show on Superhero theme music. The highlight was hearing the Imperial March live by a full symphony/orchestra. It was also cool to hear a symphony play Iron Man by Black Sabbath. There was a guy literally playing a 6 foot link of chain, slamming it on the ground. Imagine studying classical violin for 40 years so you can Black Sabbath.

message 44: by Sinda (new)

Sinda Quietus (superwholockedtrekacrossthestars) | 5 comments So I'm going through some songs on my iPod, and even though I'm not that into Star Wars at the moment (it's still fantastic though and I love it, I just haven't seen it in a while.), I realized just how much I love the soundtracks. The Throne Room and the Asteroid Field are my favourites.

Snowdrop, Daughter of Apollo (SadieMKane) | 1 comments Bum bum bum dddum, bum bum bum dddum. Bum bum bum bumbabum, bumbabum. Bum bum bum bumbabum bum babum, bumbabum.
