you wouldn't know there is a mirror, or a bridge, or wouldn't be sure there was mention of a light source, knife or boots etc.
Be sure when you are suggesting books they meet the 200 page requirement too.
So, Dawn, does that mean it counts or not? I'm still not clear? I'ge already read...but for someone else?

It counts. The item doesn't have to be on the cover, anywhere in the book is fine. Sorry I think I over explained in my original reply.
Yes Lisa Kay. It would count for mirror. Any mention of the item in a book will count, no matter how small. I think I might ask for page number if it is an item in the book.
So the mirror of Erised would work from Harry Potter (if we read/re-read that book)

That is how I always thought it to be. And I think they do talk about it in Faefever too as well as some of the Highlander books.
Can the items we find from books that we already read? I'm not clear on this at all. I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
If you actually re-read the book after the challenge starts, you can count the items. The item of the week also has to be in the book you are reading.
Example:
Week 1 mirror gets called you read a book with a mirror, flower, castle and a shoe.
Week 2 Castle gets called, you already have your castle point but if you read another castle book you can then claim 3 other items from it. You can't just read any item.
Okay thank you that clear things up for me quite a bit.
I'm looking at
to maybe use for BRIDGE. Is that a bridge in the lower left corner, or just a railing? Or, does it have a bridge in it? Anyone know?

The lower left corner looks more like a roof top ledge to me. It could be a sidewalk bridge, not sure. But the middle of the cover (under the author name) looks like a highway overpass to me and that is a type of bridge so it would work for me.

I really hope so I wouldn't have to track down another book at my library.
