Rozzer Interesting sidelight. Just came across this intriguing but undetailed recent article about a legal settlement entered into between Google and a number of French publishers who sued them. Apparently, there's been a court ruling in France that Google's book-scanning of OUT OF COPYRIGHT French books is a breach of French copyright law. Here's the article:

Google, French publishers settle book clash

And here's the Bloomberg article on the same thing: Google Ends Legal Dispute With French Authors Over Scans

From an in-house Google blog, here's their take: Writing a new chapter for French Books: books

I'd sure like to know more about this matter. If any of you know more or run into more informative articles on this pact, be so kind as to post them here.

Rozzer Here's another: I've used Project Gutenberg since they started up, but hadn't ever known that you can search the Gutenberg catalogue by language. Here's a link to their books in French:

Browse By Language: French

Take care!
