M.K. I'm doing a series of interviews with top HF authors. First two are on my blog - one with Margaret George and the other with Deanna Raybourn. Check http://awriterofhistory.com/2012/06/1... and http://awriterofhistory.com/2012/06/0... for two great authors talking about their craft.

Kit | 8 comments This is a great idea, Mary. Thanks for doing these interviews. I'm probably joining a long line, but I'd like to offer myself as a future interviewee. My two books MISS ALCOTT'S EMAIL and DOT TO DOT feature real historical women in semi-fictional settings. See more at www.kitbakke.com. By the way, I just finished reading TC Boyle's THE WOMEN, a completely brilliant mix of history, fiction and nonfiction. Cheers, KIT

M.K. Thanks for your note, Kit. Interesting thought about doing more interviews :) At the moment, I'm concentrating on those writers selected for the top 20 or top 40 list from my historical fiction survey. My intent is to find out more about successful HF authors through the interviews and some of my own analysis. Hopefully that will be useful to wide range of folks.
