This is a new sci-fi book being written - The Master of the Forbidden.

Master of the Forbidden is the first novel in the proposed Gauntlet Saga, set on a near-future earth where children receive a special chip on their 16th birthday that give them one of a number of unique special abilities.
Master of the Forbidden is a tale that follows a young Cyric Anderson, a boy from an abusive household, on a dark journey to see exactly how far he is willing to go to put his life and family back together.
