Lisa Mason (lisamason) | 12 comments The Garden of Abracadabra, Book 1 of the Abracadabra Series, is my new book and my first urban fantasy. I’ve published cyberpunk, time travels, and epic science fiction with Random House and HarperCollins, but I love urban fantasy and took a chance with this (for me) new direction. I eagerly invite your reaction and (hopefully) constructive criticism. This is, for now, an ebook on Nook and Kindle while I and my New York literary agent hassle out details of a print edition, which won’t come out until late 2013. I’ve planned ten more books for the series, but that (and the print edition) won’t happen unless people like The Garden of Abracadabra. I’ve read Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Patricia Briggs, Laurell K. Hamilton, Neal Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, Stephenie Meyer, Stacia Kane, Cassandra Clare, and Carole Nelson Douglas and will be posting my reviews of fifty books and more in the coming days. In the meantime, I sincerely hope that, if you love urban fantasy and are looking for something new, you’ll give The Garden of Abracadabra a try!
I thank you for your readership!

Barbara ★ Wow The Garden of Abracadabra sounds interesting. I've added it to my TBR and will look into purchasing it later.

Lisa Mason (lisamason) | 12 comments Thanks, Barbara! I worked hard on this--well, I do that for every book--but I love urban fantasy, which is new for me. If you do read it, I'll appreciate your comments. I thank for you for your readership.
