Bent Pine (BentPinePublishing) | 1 comments Spare Change is the winner of four literary awards including the 2012 Reviewer's Choice for General Fiction and for Southeast Regional Fiction. The book also won the Royal Palm Literary Award and the Jack Eadon Award. It was also a Bookbundlz Finalist and #1 on the Goodreads list of Best Unknown Books.

The story, set in Virginia during the first half of the twentieth century, is a heartwarming tale of desperate situations and finding love in unexpected places. A lighthearted humorous style keeps the story moving along and provides a highly satisfying end.

Ava Catherine | 1 comments Bette Lee Crosby is a wonderful writer, and she has a finely tuned ear for the Southern voice. Her plot structure is always tight and wrought with many a twist and turn. Crosby's characters are alive and walk into the reader's heart.
I highly recommend this book.
