Honestly i lean more towards the strange and wierd, as well as fantasy. But i've tried out the dark and grusome. Those are my particular favorites when it comes to short stories and books. I am a lover of poetry though.

Would you like to start a story or is there one you would like some comments on?

Frank (bard) | 9 comments Hi, I like the wierd, but I have been told I am "too old fashioned for Horror." But then, those who said it didn't consider Poe a Horror writer. I have a weakness for irony and also comedy. I am credited with the orrigion of the genre; Zombie Slapstick.

I also write a lot of poetry-traditional usually forms rather than Free Verse. (shameless plug) my antho ORPHANED EPICS contains Horror, Fantasy and poetry.

Kevin | 5 comments I write fantasy and sci-fi for the most part. I've written other things but I've never finished anything so I'm not sure I really have 'written' anything.

Ashley (readerandwriter) Poetry is my main genre but I am branching out and will be trying to write some novels. One of them will be a young adult fiction, one of them will be a lesbian romance novel and one of them is... um not sure what you would catergorize the it in .

Ashley (readerandwriter) 1st Novel: My first novel will be about a 15 year old boy named Jake who is failing his history class and needs to pass it so he won't have to go to summer school. His teacher says he can pass the class if he does Heritage Week. Simple enough right? Wrong. Jake hates Heritage Week and doesn't see what the big deal is about it. Even more he not to proud of his own heritage. But a trip to Ireland to visit relatives changes his his views on heritage.

2nd Novel: My second novel will be about a girl in college who decides to do an experiment for a class project. She decides to experiment what it is like to be homeless. During her experimentation she meets a couple of people who help her understand the people who are homeless and see the realities of homelessness.

Now don't go stealing my ideas guys. lol.

lol i wouldn't dare. I've already got one about gay vampires, the mafia, and a manga about a scientist and his kittygirl.

Honestly i love the second idea the most. Have you read The Glass Castle? It's on my book list. But maybe that will help. i can't wait for your book

Ashley (readerandwriter) It will probably be a couple years before I get the first one published.

Silvia (robin10hood) i tend to lean towards historical fiction. i always love to think: "suppose you were on teh titanic. what would you do? who would you be? first class? third class? crew?"

i also want to know, what drives you to write something about gay vampires? no offense, but i just don't see the idea behind that one.

Well i honestly have no idea where the idea came from but it's not intended to be a novel or a short story. It's a comic book that my friend raye is doing the art for. I'm the creator of the idea and the story.
