I am not a "romance novel" kind of guy. But Hayden has cought my attention with her very good prose! She writes good, reasonable, very enjoyable stories that "hit a lot of buttons" to interest a lot of people. This is her first published book. I read it after reading a number of her short stories. It is a very good first novel! And the follow-on books (Fight for Me, and Live for Me) are each better! Hayden is a very good story teller! Her stories are realistice, believable, enjoyable, and FUN to read! She rings a lot of chimes in this old warrior soul.
