With Ray Bradbury science fiction is only a backdrop for timeless human stories. I'm ashamed that I haven't read all his books so I can't honestly say which is my favourite, but 'The Illustrated Man' is like a treasure trove and I'm currently reading it for the third time.

Only seven of the stories in that collection truly appeal to me but they're stories that I'll happily read time and time again. What I love most about Ray's stories is their emotional strength, and the fact that you sometimes find yourself as a character within them.

Rest In Peace RB
