Anyone else super disappointed there was no mention of Olaf AT ALL?

The end of Hit List totally set up a badass story with Olaf as a werelion and Anita finally killing his ass. That is what I was looking forward to with Kiss the Dead and there wasn't even one mention of him or if Edward or the government even found any clues to his whereabouts. :(

The first thing I did when I got it on my kindle was keyword "Olaf" and I was like NOOOO WHY DIDN'T HE COME UP?!?!?! I'm currently on chapter 2.
I was disappointed in that too. I always enjoy hearing about Edward and Olaf. But other than that it was a good book :)
Yeah same, I like the relationship between Edward and Anita and how well they go together but not in a lovey way, more of a professional-supportive-friendship way. I've barely started book 21 and I'm already googling when the next book comes LOL.
I missed not having Edward in this book, but did not miss Olaf. I was very happy to have more Jean Claude.

Wow. I kind of want to say you have issues lol. Olaf is the only male character that I'm glad Anita is not sleeping with. Seriously. I can't wait until she destroys him.

LOL go on- say I have issues, I don't mind. Since this is all fictional, I'm growing fond of Olaf COZ hes a sociopath. I loved that bit from Skin Trade where Anita realises that Olaf wants to date-date her in a normal way but he's confused on how to make Anita like her. Sure, Olafs a serial killer but you gotta admit that he does have a crush on Anita! And I find that cute~
You were disappointed that Anita didn't have a confrontation with a newbie were lion? Frankly I'm relieved nothing was mentioned.Is there any believable scenario where Anita and all her lovers don't just murder Olaf in under 1min without setting up huge plot holes or lame convinces?
Hopefully Olaf never shows up and we can forget about that dreadful char and lines and the convenient plot holes that her lives in, (Govt lets a psychopath live as long as he never kills on USA soil?)
Remember people, Anta has beaten a Chimera Were, Olaf is small potatoes compared to that.
It would have been nice to have some STORY in Kiss the Dead. Any story. The whole "vampires wanting to be free" plot was never really developed and ended with "oh we were wrong. My bad!" and instead it was filled in by interminable relationship woes.Olaf would have been a nice substitute
True, there are more sex scenes than plot... it used to be that there were more plot than sex. I was sorta expecting more with investigation in KtD when I found out theres an investigation. too baaaad
yes, i missed olaf this time. i completely agree with Ashley about the set up at the end of hit list with Olaf as a werelion though I don't look forward to losing him. I would much rather lose a few of the pointless lovers and see the series get back on track & tie up some of the many loose ends. I think one of the best scenes over the last few books was the one towards the end of the harlequin involving Olaf.
Keep Olaf bring back Edward also Jason have more of raising of the dead and zombies would be nice how about the counsel of elders .Any other Masters that are trying to take over any old loves from the past how about the swan king or the wolfs Anita is their pack lupa how about some ware dogs or ware cats or some one has a kid just throwing out some thoughts
I thought it was just me. I just knew Olaf would be in this one after Hit List. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next one.

I was so excited thinking OMG Anita is gonna make Olaf her rex or she's gonna finally kill his crazy ass. I kind of find him endering in a crazy killer way. Mabe it's the unknown?! I don't know but I really did not enjoy this book like the rest. I was glade I was able to return it for a refund when I finished. Hopefully the next one will be better.
I either hope she kills him, makes him her rex or makes him a bride like Nicky. It would make my soul very happy if she made him into a bride. It would serve that sick bastard right! He wouldn't be able to kill and would only aim to please Anita. Heh. I really really like that idea.
Olaf, Olaf, wherefore art thou Olaf? Yeah, he may be bald, crazy and a cold-blooded killer, but I definitely see him as Anita's bed partner. Where there are 99, one more couldn't hurt.. *evil grin*But honestly, like with all well-written villains, I think Olaf is fascinating. He should get a part in every book from now on, Lord knows he's needed to keep the readers interested.

I'm growing disenchanted with this series, it's all sex and no substance. When is she going to get back to doing the raising zombies, killing for a reason storylines. I miss Edward, Olaf and Bernardo. Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against the sex but when one book is set over the timespan of two days and all it is is sex, then what's the point. I understand she's gaining all this mystical power and cats but please,,,, get on with some real story lines. If all I wanted to read was sex, I would read porn.

I like the fact that she's stopped picking at all her relationships and find it funny that Larry has gone all weird on her. But the sex isn't very good now, I think it's because she's got too many guys and I noticed a few slips, the names kept changing in certain scenes.

I was disappointed in the book also, it felt like a filler. I did not mind the guys and sex as long as there is action, where in the world is Edward and Olaf. If Olaf come into the picture the book will be badass because there will be tons of excitement.
My fave Anita books are the ones that Edward has a decent sized part in. The whole Olaf hunting Anita storyline could turn out to be a great book. I hope we see the return of Edward, Olaf, and Bernardo soon.
I've seen the next books cover. It was the American version so it's blue not red like the British version. Unfortunately I don't know what it's about but as soon as I get an inkling I'll post on here.
The next book is soposed to be about her going home to meet Micah's family. There will be a case going on too.

Don't underestimate Olaf. Power isn't everything, as evidenced by the fact that the MoAD underestimated Anita. I have a feeling she'll make the same mistake with Olaf. Of course I don't think he'll kill her, but he has years more experience at killing, tactical planning, strategy, warfare, etc. He doesn't have to be more powerful to outsmart her. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes out one of her men on his way down, because another advantage he has over Anita is that he LOVES to kill. She has to seperate her emotions to be able to pull the trigger, he lusts for it and enjoys it. I'm ridiculously attached to Nathaniel, Domino, Damian, and Nicky, Jean-Claude is just 'meh' for me, same for Micah. Jason is a little cutie, so I'll keep him around. Cynric..well, he's male, he's a teenager, that's really all I have to say. Richard just annoys the ever loving s*it out of me, so if Olaf ends his ass, I'll be a happy woman. Cold. but true. As far as Asher, he can take a long walk off a short pier, he whines too much, but he isn't half the jackass Richard is.

im sure we'll hear about him soon enough ,his fixation with Anita will not go away and its for sure they will have sex and then we get to read how good it can be if he doesn't try to kill her while they are at it
Yes, yes, yes and yes!!!! Olaf has to be one of my favorite characters out there. (of course Edward is number 1). He is creepy and has a lot of depth as a character.
Yeah I miss olaf in the boook series. Hope he comes back but ill doubt it cuz anita would probably kill his ass.
He will be back to cause more trouble.
He is sorta mentioned because he is one of the Horsemen.
