Careful with that. We wouldn't want her drunk before the hangout even starts ,-)

Rachel | 89 comments I heart this idea!

I'm terrible at coming up with cocktails built around real people, but I can totally do it for books or fictional characters.

Joie is ouzo, a strongly anise-flavored liqueur (if you don't like absinthe because it tastes too much like black liquorice, don't drink ouzo).

Joscelin, I think, would be a Dark and Stormy - dark rum and ginger beer with a splash of lime. It's a complex, multi-layered drink.

My initial inclination is to nominate Phedre for a cinnamon cocktail, but I haven't actually had many cinnamon cocktails. So instead, I'll go with the most expensive cocktail I know - Death in the Afternoon, which is 50/50 absinthe and champagne (drink carefully! The alcohol will sneak up on you with this one!)

Hyacinthe, I think, is a homebrewed spiced white ale. Humble, crafty, but flavorful.

I racked my brain for Melisande, but I just kept coming back to expensive port wine.

A Cthulhu tiki mug with Googly Eyes.

Really? I don't know if there's a more appropriate drink for Melisande than a Bloody Mary.

There's a whole page of potential recipes. Don't try them all at once. I don't drink, so I can't advise which to try. Good luck!

Yes

Paul | 49 comments I'm pretty sure Felicia has already invented her own cocktail. What was it? Rum, Sprite, and blue food coloring? I forget exactly what she called it, but from now on I'm calling it a Felicia Day. (Although maybe I should use red food coloring to match her hair).

Ghetto Spacer?

message 12: by Paul (new)

Paul | 49 comments Ok ... then a Felicia Day is a Ghetto Spacer with red food coloring.

actually in this case it could be a Ghetto Spacer with blue food colouring but in the way it is presented in Christina's picture: with red raspberries on top. Not to say Felicia is blue..
