As the last days of the Mayan calendar count down the battle between good and evil is joined. Washington D.C Homicide Detective Sam Hardin and Vietnam Vet Jack Griffith go head to head in a fight to the death from which only one can emerge victorious. While in the balance hangs the future of all mankind.

Inspired by H.P Lovecraft's, AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS that many believe was written as a continuation of Edgar Allan Poe's THE NARRATIVE OF ARTHUR GORDON PYM. Lovecraft's work inspired John W Campbell to write the short story, WHO GOES THERE, which served as the basis for the nineteen fifties movie, THE THING that John Carpenter remade in the eighties. In each instance the discovered artifacts never reach civilization, until now.
