I found this while I was perusing Yahoo and thought that it was funny. Sometimes technology gets a bit overboard!

Basically, some troll decided that Hop On Pop was detrimental to father's health and needed to be taken off the shelves and compensation given to father's hurt by this mean book. The library had to spend time responding to it. Maybe, it was some person's joke and I thought it was funny.

I wonder whether the response would have been different if the book had been "hop on mother" or "hop on sister."

I admit that I do have an aversion to the thought of someone encouraging my children to go hopping on me. Which is only partly because my children now all weigh well in excess of 100, and in one case 200, pounds. OUCH.

Maybe, you can seek compensation?

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) | 42 comments 'Hop on Mom' is actually a well-known 'joke book title', found among a long list of 'alternate' or 'bizarro-world' Suess titles. You can probably dig it up via Giggle

others in the bibliography are:

Who Shat in the Hat?
Fox in Detox

etc etc etc

Ah. Another thing of which I was blissfully ignorant up to now.
