Your League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?

Basically, if you could pick any 5 characters from any medium of fiction (literature, TV, film, videogames, comic etc...) who would it be and why?

I am going to ban characters with super powers or supernatural abilities e.g Superman as I feel that would overshadow and overpower the rest.
But anyway, enjoy!

(Edit: 8/5/12. If you feel that picking only 5 characters from the WHOLE of fictional history is a bit daunting you can pin it down to a specific tie period such as the 1940's or 80's, such as Robert here).

Setting 2010-2012

Veronica Mars
Jimmy McNulty (The Wire)
Cameron (Sarah Connor Chronicles)
Randi Wallace (She-Wolf of London)

Employer: Director of Homeland Security - Adrian Veidt
Handler: Dana Scully

The Blair Witch
Space cockroach Kim Jong iL (Team America)
The Big Guy (Paul)

Dale Cooper - Twin Peaks (leader)
Leatherface - Texas Chainsaw (muscle)
Don Quixote (comic relief and inspiration)
Robocop (firepower)
Morticia Adams (style)

Actually have two, for different eras:

For the 80s:
Robert McCall (aka The Equalizer)
Hannibal Lecter
Louis de Pointe du Lac
Jesse Mach (aka Street Hawk)
Dr. Jonathan Chase (aka Manimal)

For the 2000s:
Harry Dresden
Gregory House, M.D.
Buffy Summers
Jack Bauer
Jarod (aka The Pretender)

Sherlock Holmes
Doc Savage (solo - assumes the Fabulous 5 are indisposed)
Silver John the Balladeer
Dr Wong Fei Hong
Molly Millions aka Sally Shears

My list for a modern one, and counting novelizations.

James Bond (James Bond series)
The de facto leader tasked to assemble a new secret team to tackle missions no one else would believe.

The Doctor (Doctor Who series)
A huge modern representation of the scifi genre with novelizations of his adventures. He allows time travel and scientific explantions when needed.

Duncan Macleod (Highlander series)
Again pulling from the novelizations, he's a long standing warrior, perfect to call on for battle.

Harry D'Amour (The Last Illusion)
An occult detective from the works of Clive Barker. A good addition to the team.

Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)
Hacker with her own agenda. Seems a little super ficial but i'm sure there could be a good reason to recruit her.

George Weasley (Harry Potter series)
In picking a HP character i see this team happening after the big battle, so i wanted someone who unlike the other characters may not be happy with the less interesting no big battles lifestyle. George seems like the perfect choice.

Now i'm mixed on the last two team members so i'm leaving two options.

Option A:

Zinzi December and her sloth (Zoo City)
A detective who searches for people bound to a sloth familiar as the new form of punishment.

Option B:

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)
Survivor from an alternative future where the team visits and she joins with them.

Thor (Thor)
A german shepherd from a story by Wayne Smith. He defended his family/pack from a werewolf in the story and now would join the team after something terrible happens to his family and he helps the league and they take him in as a team pet who's capable enough to help.

The Shadow
Doc Savage
The Lone Ranger
Sherlock Holmes
Van Helsing

Dale Cooper - Twin Peaks
Tyler Durden - Fight Club
Rorschach - Watchmen
Spider Jerusalem - Transmetropolitan
Raoul Duke - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (even if he is based on a real person, the character himself is essentially fictional).

If I were to go for a modern take...
James Bond
Mulder and Scully (I'd like to count them as 1 since you really cant have one without the other)
Billy Lo (Bruce Lee from Game of Death)
Indiana Jones (leader, mentor)

Sherlok Holmes
John clark (Tom clancy)
Jason Bourne
Xander Cage
James Bond

The Time Traveller (H.G. Wells, as a secret chief of the organization, he can gather all the members from different time and still makes sense)
Count of Monte Cristo (at the head of the League)
Sherlock Holms
Captain Nemo (still here)
Phileas Fogg
Michel Strogoff

James Bond. Bruce Wayne. Bruce Lee. Danny Trejo. Bear Grylls.

My League:

Tali ( Mass Effect series, alien tech genius)
Casandra Kersnov (Hunter-Killer Android from Operation: Shield)
Scooby-Doo and Shaggy (For comic relief. I count them both because you can't have one without the other)
Willy Wonka (gadget man, can make anything from chocolate)
and finally Walter White.

The League itself (or an offshoot of it):

Arthur Dent
The Cat in the Hat
Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Christopher Robin
The Little Prince
Edith (from Dare Wright's The Lonely Doll)
Max (from Where the Wild Things Are)
The Beast (from Beauty and the Beast, as interpreted by Jean Cocteau)

Waldo the Cat (from the comics of Kim Deitch, technically an antihero, but very very anti)
The Other Mother (from Coraline)
Captain Nazi (old Fawcett Comics villain)
The Cenobites (from Clive Barker's Hellbound Heart and Hellraiser)
Pazuzu (from The Exorcist)
Asmodeus (from the film Equinox)
Mr. Zero (from Elmer Rice's The Adding Machine)
Dolmancé (from Philosophy in the Boudoir)

Wait, why aren't super-human characters allowed? They are in The League of Extraordinary Gentleman...

I'm not following that rule =P

I tried to follow a rough time period

The Spirit (as a wannabe leader)
Wesley Dodds, The Sandman
Rick Blaine from Casablanca
Death from Sandman (hate to be a copycat, but I need some feminine charm)
Buck from Call of the Wild (somehow immortalized by his own badassness, maybe also why Death got involved with the rest)

Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Granny Weatherwax from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series
M. Bison from Street Fighter 2
Death from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series
Paddington Bear (a grizzly kind of Rorshach)

Pac Man
The Stranger from Camus’ novel of the same name
Merricat from Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle
Winnie the Pooh
Desperate Dan from the Dandy
