Discuss White Cat here!

Erika (livingforthebooks) One of my favorite books and series! I love Cassel he's so awesome and it was nice to read a book from a guys POV. Plus I liked the entire con that was played on Cassel.

I need this book!! I haven't read it yet!

Karina The only reason I picked this book up was because it was written by Holly Black and I liked the previous books i had read by her. I like the idea of curse workers, I find it unique and interesting. I love Cassel!

I have to read it soon! I have The Iron King, Born at Midnight, tons of ARCs from netgalley to read. I also have Under the Never Sky waiting for me at the library. "So many books so little time!"

Sarah | 41 comments I am half way done and this book rocks so far :) nice pick!

Moof I just finished reading it and I must say I really did enjoy it :) I love how much it has to do with organized crime, cons, and conning! I've never read any of Holly Black's other books, but I'm glad I read this one. Cassel is definitely one hell of a character ;)

Now I must keep reading! I'm about a fourth of the way into the second book!

Kevin (fulltimenerd) | 1 comments I read White Cat awhile ago and adored it! I have since finished the whole series, and I really don't think anyone will be disappointed by them! Cassel is personally, one of my favorite main characters from all the books I have read this year!

I can't say, it might ruin the rest of the series for you.

Jay I hate his brothers

Karina I hate his brother and his mother...and some other people in later books. I think the only charcters I like are his grandfather and his best friend.

Sarah | 41 comments Whoa…White Cat totally surprised me. I expected it to be a good read but as it turns out it was great! Cassel is super clever and the supernatural conman angle was a refreshing change from my normal reads.
The fact that he is the “good guy” that’s not actually much of a good guy but yet you still find yourself rooting for him gives the novel a great edge. I was hooked from the first sentence and honestly couldn’t put it down. Mystery and magic what’s not to love. The best part of the book for me was the comic relief which in my opinion makes or breaks most YA novels. For example:

“She says that what you did was a cry for help."
"It was," I say. "That's why I was yelling 'Heeeelp!' I don't really go in for subtlety.”

Cassel: “I need to talk to you. I had a weird dream."
Grandpa: "Let me guess. You got tied up by lady ninjas. With big hooters."
Cassel: "Uh, no."
Grandpa: "Guess it would have been kind of weird if we'd had the same dream."
I roll my eyes. "Well, you'd better not tell me anything else. Don't ruin the surprise in case I have it tonight.”

Sam: “You know what I wish?
Cassel: “What?”
Sam: “That someone would convert my bed into a robot that would fight other bed robots to the death for me.”

Random unforeseeable humor….makes me giggle every time.

Any other lines you loved?
