Its the front wing of the building. Where you start your RP! :)

message 2: by Matthew (new)

Matthew (phoebus) | 245 comments Out of the carriage arrived young man, dressed in the guise of a violet, his face discreetly covered with a mask. Theodore made his way to the opened doors of the Masquerade, tapping the sleek black staff that was perched in his right hand as he did so. Theodore's gaze carefully sketched over the details of the scene, from each person to the faint music that wafted from the buildings interior.

Skittles- The World Is a Wonderful Place... :) Eloise walked into the entrance hall wearing her deep strapless blue ball gown and a heavy silver necklace. She readjusted her mask and stepped forward, her heels clicking on the shiny marble floor.

message 4: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (treeclimber419) Caprice was looking at the windows of her car with some bored. She spotted the building as she drove up. She’d admit it, it was a beautiful place but she didn’t agree with the rules that went along with the Masquerade Ball and her mother warned her before hand to watch out who she expresses her feelings to. Caprice stepped out of the car in her dark violet and pink dress with a jeweled masked that went up into her hair on one side. Her blonde hair was pulled back with a few curled pieces around her face; a simple yet bright smile was on her face. This was her last time coming here and probably her last time ever using common sense, that’s how the government would like it. She slowly made her way towards the entrance, looking at the all the gowns and the handsome guys.

~♡~UninspiredAlchemist~♥~ Willo stood at the entrance, glancing around nervously as more people began pouring in rom different directions. She smoothed her emerald green dress out and fixed her mask, making it straight. She fluffled the small flower as well, then put her hands to her sides.

message 6: by Chickie (new)

Chickie (piercetheveilluver) Minnie sighed, wishing Mick was with her. She walked to the ball not caring what others think. She wore a dark purple and black gothic dress. Her mask was also purple and had feathers. She glanced around, and sighed. She had on black lipstick, which complimented her white and blue hair that was now curled. Minnie walked, not glancing at other people, and went to the entrance. Her black heels clicked as she walked.

message 7: by yael (new)

yael Andraya looked out the window out of her ride, her dark green eyes hidden behind her mask. She lingered in the seat, slightly afraid of going in the building. Andraya immediatly felt homesick, missing her brothers deeply. She softly heard the music that played from the large building. She took a deep breath, recolating herself. She stepped out, and the ride drove off. Her dark brown hair shone as she walked up the marble steps. Flashing her best smile, she looked at all the people who arrived, and walked towards the entrance with the last bit of courage she still had left.

message 8: by Matthew (new)

Matthew (phoebus) | 245 comments Theodore entered the wing, he soundlessly stopped to turn and watch as more people entered. No need to rush, especially if you weren't planning for this anyways.

Bennett loosened his tie, and tried to take deep breaths. He was leaning against the side of the wall, staring out at the crowd gathering. His face was pinched uncomfortably behind his black mask. This was it. The moment he had been dreading for weeks. He glanced towards the large doors that were swinging forward, and followed everyone else inside...averting his gaze to a couple of girls who looked at him curiously.

message 10: by Chickie (new)

Chickie (piercetheveilluver) Minnie put her black leather gloves on as she walked, her eyes to the ground. She didn't dare look at anyone. She cracked her knuckles and sighed. She was dreading this night.

message 11: by Matthew (last edited Jun 05, 2012 02:18PM) (new)

Matthew (phoebus) | 245 comments Theodore leaned against tapping his staff in a constant rhythm as he lazily glanced over the crowds of people who now began to enter. Many of them were simply ecstatic for this event...but not him, for all the world, what he wanted at this moment was not to be found here.

Skittles- The World Is a Wonderful Place... :) Eloise looked around at all the beautiful ball gowns and handsome guys. She smiled, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ | 119 comments Anilee looked out of the windows of her ride, a black sports car. She gazed up at the stunning castle. She licked her lips as they pulled up and donned her blue mask. She took a deep breath to calm herself and got out of the car. She smoothed her pale yellow dress and took another shuddering breath. Her hair was pulled back in a messy bun, with the strands of hair that was out curled in perfect ringlets. With blue eyes bright and a glow about her she started walking up the path, without a second glance to the car behind her.

message 14: by Izzy (new)

Izzy (goodreadscomizzy) | 13 comments Allen walked in and looked around, sighing softly. He hate to leave his brother alone, but he had to now. He was worried and wanted to get this over with so he could go home.

message 15: by ~♡~UninspiredAlchemist~♥~ (last edited Jun 05, 2012 02:20PM) (new)

~♡~UninspiredAlchemist~♥~ Willo glanced back as she was herded inside, her beautiful golden curls spilling over her shoulder, she pushed her bangs out of the way of her eyes, adjusting the mas agian. The gold sparkled slightly, the green making it stand out. She looked down at her dress, the fabric giving it a leaf-like look. Willo took a deep breath, letting her nervousness wash away.

message 16: by Lauren (last edited Jun 05, 2012 02:21PM) (new)

Lauren (treeclimber419) Caprice walked into the wing with soft clicks of her heels, she had a smile on her face. Her eyes danced over the crowd and smiled small if she caught someone's glances. She moved out of the way trailing her hand along a wall softly. She didn't want to be there but she put on a fake smile.

message 17: by Matthew (new)

Matthew (phoebus) | 245 comments Theodore sighed, picked up his staff and continued on his way towards the music that came from deeper inside. Might as well as well look the part.

Bennett followed the crowd aimlessly for a couple more seconds, then bit his lip, looking for somewhere to escape notice. He usually wasn't a nervous wreck...but the idea seemed to be hitting him all over again. He would be meeting the person he was destined to spend the rest of his life with, probably within the next hour...or not at all. It was terrifying him. Bennett ducked down the first hallway, which led somewhere farther into the building. The hallway was well lit, and he glanced over his shoulder-wondering if someone had noticed his disappearance.

message 19: by yael (new)

yael Andraya's eyes narrowed. She was ready, and she used every ounce of courage in her body. She hated being nervous. It wasn't her lifestlye and to her, it made a person look weaker and more vulnerable. Andraya watched some people that passed, and gave them a genuine smile in return.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Shane inhaled and let out a slow deep breath, adjusting his mask one final time he pushed open the carriage door and got out. Smoothing his jacket as he stood he headed for the entrance, his metallic dark grey mask complimented his suit nicely. Taking in the sight of every girl looking their finest and every male looking like a men's warehouse catalog he smiled to himself. The evening had barely begun and already he was looming forward to the end. While he enjoyed social gatherings, a ball in which one ended up stuck with one person forever seemed more like a death sentance.

Skittles- The World Is a Wonderful Place... :) Eloise caught a couple glances, she simply smiled. She leaned against the wall. She wished she had her book now.

message 22: by ℋɑƞƞɑℎ (new)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ | 119 comments Anilee followed the crowd, it was kind of hard not to. She didn't particularly want to be here since she didn't approve of the Masquerade, but she knew that it would be an escape from her awful family. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, her blue nails catching the light. She loved the contrast of the royal blue and pale yellow of her dress. She continued walking and her hand went up to her diamond necklace to play with, a habit she had acquired when she was nervous.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Deciding that getting pushed around in the throngs of excited and nervous people, would be no fun, Shane headed inside. He smiled at a couple ladies as he passed them, but a few moments later he couldnt remember a single thing about them. Most everyone looked alike, fancy elaborate ballgowns with some mask that had spirals, feathers or flowers. They all wore rich deep colors or white. It was like a ball of clones in a way.

message 24: by Lauren (last edited Jun 05, 2012 03:19PM) (new)

Lauren (treeclimber419) Capriced walked back into the entrance, she bumbed into Shane on accidently. She held his arm softly giving him an apolgetic smile, "I am so sorry." She smiled at him and nodded softly him and let her hand linger on his arm softly before she let go and turned to move out of the way for the others that were coming in.

The music slipped into the circus like quick tempo of an old valse, a three step if you may.

Without prior motion of coming over, a girl with pamphlets pushed them to her chest, her heart, and bowed to him with closed shutter eyes.

"Welcome to the last place you'll ever see," she joked softly, a slight smirk to her lips, "or it will be if you stay so quiet and away from everybody." She continued in the bow, not bobbing up to check if he was even there to hear.

How hypocritical, she was speaking in a mere whisper.

The walls have ears.

message 26: by Ethan (new)

Ethan As the carrige rolled to a stop, the young man in the back smiled, and picked up his mask. Pulling out a few coins, he handed them to the coach driver, smiling and saying "Thank you." He placed the mask on his face, and walked strait towards the doors, greeting everyone as he passed. Passing a young lady he overheard her and said "But that's not the point of the Masquerade Ms...." Ryker left the unspoken question in the air

*Mrs. Brightside* Hunter knew he couldn't stand outside forever - because he'd get cold - so after letting a girl walk past him inside, he followed behind her. "Wow," he murmured as he looked around, his dark eyes taking in his surroundings; the number of doors, how many people were there, how many of those people were girls... He was a guy on alert. That could be a good thing, though. He had to admit that the scene looked nice, truly like a ball. He felt a smile tug at his lips as he walked farther inside, slowly taking off his jacket. He put it down before shoving his hands into his pockets.

Where to go now... He curiously looked around again, and noticed how he hardly heard anyone speaking. He hoped that there was a few outgoing girls here. Hey, if he was staying, he didn't want to be bored the rest of the night.

...And his mask was already starting to bother him. Dang! His face just felt really warm. Luckily, the mask wasn't itchy. He decided to go back outside, hoping fresh air would help. He kind of wanted to explore the place anyway. He heard the music fading the farther he walked away from the entrance, heading up the stairs.

yael Dante stepped out of his ride. His black and white mask, made him look mysterious. His eyes were calm, and he had to admit, he liked the idea of hiding behind a mask. Dante pondered at the fit his sister might do if she saw his late arrival. His ride drove off after he thanked him. He looked at all the arrivals briefly, then went inside the building.

She looked up at him from the corner of her eye, slowly raising herself with a puffed chest, "and if it is? This may be a happy occasion but we are still locked like grey wolves in the traps of a factory. Another government ploy, another grace we pay for ourselves," she was half concentrating on her words, the other half was a quick look at every man here and then riveting back to Ryker with a steely stare of pink.

"People have died of this ball, I wouldn't be so nice," she didn't choke it out but she felt her chest tighten. By the way this was going, she would surely be the first marker of a shot rifle.

She took the long lining of her dress in her hands and bowed with them, knees bending. "Uh, um, I mean, how do you do good sir. Mister....?"

message 33: by Ethan (last edited Jun 05, 2012 03:40PM) (new)

Ethan "Hey, I asked that first!" Ryker joked "But the names Ryker. Ryker Linfoot" He made an over dramatic bow "At your service. And what point is there to live if you're not nice to everyone?" Ryker asked cocking his head to the side. "And anyways, even if it is a government ploy, we can still have fun can't we Ms..." Ryker attempted again

Blood Bone and Muscle She flashed a grin, the humour getting the better of her and tried to shove the paranoid delusions at the back of her mangled and marred mind.

"Very pleasant, Mister Linfoot Ryker. I am Ange, short for Angelique," she held back a bought of laughter, the smile reaching her eyes, "of course, mister Linfoot, there's plenty of food to be had. Oddly enough, I see no happy meals. Must be from another time. They even have what I believe to be broiled and plucked cat."

She held out her hand, "would you dance?"

message 35: by Ethan (new)

Ethan "I would love to Ms Angelique, but I'd advise waiting until we reach the dance floor." Ryker said laughing slightly. "But seriously, who in their right mind would eat broiled and plucked cat? They're much better skinned and fried" Ryker said mock seriously, scruncing up his nose at the first part. "But I don't believe there will be happy meals because we'd all be fighting over the toy." Ryker stage whispered, as if it were a big secret.

Anastasia Josephine Jackson stepped carefully out of the old-styled carriage her parents had made specially for her to match her dress. The gold sparkles over the purple fabric shined in the lamplight of the castle, throwing speckles of lights on the paved path in front of her. Who know her parents had cared enough to send a carriage, which apparently had been used back in these times. The magnificent piece of work was embedded with more gold sparkles that glinted as well, with a coating of purple covering the whole thing.

Giving a small smile at the driver and waving, the man tipped his black top-hat and whipped the reigns, signaling the horses to start moving again. She waited and watched it go, dreading the moment when she'd have to go inside to the Masquerade. Who knew one place and a few dances could send her heart racing so? Turning back around slowly after the cart had disappeared behind a bend in the road, she gasped in awe at how marvelous the entire structure was. A marbled path with flowers on either side led to the great doors that opened into a well-lit room. Anastasia could already hear the music playing, which cause another shower of butterflies in her stomach. Tall, white, towers roamed above her, seeming to send a beacon to everyone in sight that this was where the Masquerade was going to be held.

Taking a deep breath and knowing she couldn't stay outside forever, Ana accidentally bumped into a person and she grimaced in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry." she apologized quietly, readjusting her mask and standing up straight again.

Lauren (treeclimber419) As caprice stepped away, she noticed a hall way in back. She smiled a little mischeviously as she made her way towards the hallway. She looked over her shoulder with a smile before stepping into the hallway.

Killer Queen (evilbutterflies) Maxim walked through the entrance, grinning. This was going to be fun, he just knew. He had no worries about not finding someone to walk out with, but the question was, which one? They all looked amazing and he knew all of them would be fun to be around. He was excited and walked further into the ballroom.

Making her way through the hundreds of people, she squeezed past a giant group of people talking and looked at the ground, mumbling a 'sorry' whenever she bumped into someone. Making her way towards the ballroom, she noticed that there were more rooms down another hallway. For a moment...she wondered if she could go look at them, but shook her head and headed for the ballroom instead.

Jane Scarlett Harkness entered the hall, lifting her silver skirt slightly above the floor so as to make it easier to walk. She'd been dreaming about this her whole life! And she was finally here! She looked around, and, after a moment's thought, decided to make her way over to the ballroom.

Jmart Arriving to the Masquerade, Derek sat in the back seat of his parent car staring out at the place. Seeing that their son is not making any effort to get out his father turn in his seat. "Derek, son, you have to go in this isn`t optional. Please don`t make me drag you out! Your 18 for pete sake!" His dad told him firmly. His mother twitch in her seat trying her best to let his father do the dirty work. He was mommy little boy and she doesn`t want to be the bad guy in this issue. "Love please what your father ask and go in. Maybe you will have fun!" Then his mom crack a smile at him. Derek finally sighs heavily and got out the car. HE watch as his parents drove off and he walk up the steps and in to the place. "Devil so help me. . . " He mumble.

Kat (sugaraddict) | 51 comments Charlotte stepped out of an elegant black car, contrasting in her all white outfit. She would have much rather worn an understated blue, but her mother insisted. Lately she had been feeling a bit controlled. Adjusting her hair, she took a few steps into the threshold. It felt awkward, like a party that you were invited to as a child where all the moms were friends but you didn't really know anyone.

Copper Black | 53 comments Lucy stepped out of the coach, pulling her silver and black laced mask over her face. She walked by many of the others, her simplicity seeming to stand out. she was dressed in a plain and simple short white gown with a black sash around the middle. Her dirty blonde hair was brushed and laid wavy to her shoulders, despite all her attempts to straighten it. She had taken only a few steps before stumbling, and initially embarrassing herself.Lucy loosened the straps of the high healed, black and white high heels and tried it again. She succeeded in making it to the door, twirling her copper key necklace on her finger. Continuing in,she looked at the others, sighed, and continued into the soaring building.

message 45: by Simply (new)

Simply (ninjaofthekeyboard) A trio appeared from the shadows of the night, side by side.

Zooey's stone eyes looked around surveying the way of the room. For her, tonight wasn't about finding the perfect soul mate, it was about fighting for one. Ben took a deep breath and raised his hands to teh back of his mask making sure it was secured.

"Nervous?" questioned the handsome Asian beside him, his fact covered in a half mask the hid his mouth, nose and jaw.

"No." Ben replied to Justyn, who was already throwing firtacious glances about the room.

"Good, oh, and don't feel bad when all the ladies can't get to you. They'll be with me, just so you know." he told Ben, then strolled off, looking for his first young lady to woo.

Ben shook his head at Justyn and turned to look at Zooey, but she too has dissappeared. He let out a puff of a air and continued into the hall.

"Let the games begin..." he muttered.

message 46: by คгเค (new)

คгเค (fanfiction-green) Iris stepped out of the coach, bringing her mask up to cover her face. She gave a slight smile and pulled her skirt up a little so that she would not trip over the hem. She was dressed in a long satern gown, the colour of snow that fell around her feet. Her simple flats were black and they were soft and comfortable enough to dance in. Iris's dark hair fell around her shoulders. It was the colour of charcoal. Her fringe pulled and clipped back so that it was not covering her face. Slowly, Iris entered the threshold of the building and her eyes widened a fraction.

message 47: by Seraph (new)

Seraph Iseult stepped out of an extravagant carriage, discretely hurrying to put distance between herself and the finery. As she slowed slightly, she took a second to survey the scene around her from a mask of red and glinting gold, which was getting uncomfortable already. No doubt by the end of the masquerade she'd be used to the weight on her face, but for now she was struck by the beauty and wild colours swirling around her as guests made their way into the ball room. Her pace changed, quickening once again to match that of those around her as a slight smile settled over her features, head tilted at a confident angle. Her crimson skirts whispered, skimming over the pavement and now polished floors as she stepped into the Masquerade.

ᴀʀᴏᴛʜ [hiatus] (thelovelymsels) Isabelle walked outside of her carriage and sighed softly. She held her skirts in her hands. She wondered and forgot what she was going to think of. She walked inside. She hoped the person she had a crush on would show up. She thought to herself if she didn't see her crush or at least a friend she knew then she would be really upset. She did feel better that she was wearing her mask. She didn't want anyone to see her blush but she felt better wearing it. She just hoped the maks would work. She wanted to have fun but really wanted to see that crush of hers. She sighed softly and let her mask take over her face.

"Well please let me be the first you tell when you do," Lila said before she slipped from his hold and began her own exploring.
