I thought it so sad when Amir gets back to Kabul. I've moved quite a bit, so I know how it feels when you go home and nothing looks the same anymore, but I can't imagine that feeling multiplied by 1,000 because your home has basically been destroyed. When I go home, most things look familiar. When Amir goes home, nothing does. Many sadder things have happened in the book so far, but this is the part I felt the most.
