message 5: by Jane (new)

Jane (shoxford) | 65 comments I've already read it so I can join in once people start commenting

message 6: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Well, it's been crickets so far, so you can start if you've read it, Jane. Just throw something out there.

It looks like this book might not be readily available. That could be the problem with lack of participation.

message 8: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Hmm... I guess we should start checking that on the non-King reads then. I'd never thought about it.

*badmod*

I wouldn't have realized it, that being a newish book and all. I didn't check all editions, but the ones I saw on Amazon were available through other vendors.

Jane (shoxford) | 65 comments Ok then, I think Dark Matter is incredibly atmospheric. (view spoiler)

Have either of you read it Chris or Becky?

No, I voted for The Rook. Heh...(which I haven't read yet either).

50 people voted for Dark Matter though....so hoping to hear from them soon.

message 13: by Dustin (new)

Dustin I haven't read the book, but Jane, I think your input is very interesting.:)

message 14: by Jane (new)

Jane (shoxford) | 65 comments Thanks Dustin, you should read it if you can get a copy, it's a good book

message 15: by Dustin (new)

Dustin You are very welcome, Jane.:)
Thank you for the recommendation, it's much appreciated.

Debra (debra_t) | 42 comments I didn't find this book suspenseful enough; it didn't really creep me out, as I expected. It was well-written, but just didn't keep my attention as well as many other ghost stories I've read. I hate to disagree with another member, but I was just bored in placed. Sorry!

Debra (debra_t) | 42 comments P.S. - I had to purchase a copy of this as my library network didn't have a copy to loan me. I suspect folks are having trouble getting hold of a copy without buying one, as stated earlier.

Speaking as a Public Librarian, don't forget about Interlibrary Loans.I try to remind our patrons of this service, but not all librarians do.

message 19: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Inter-library loans are GREAT, IMO!

Debra (debra_t) | 42 comments I do interlibrary loans all the time, but this time I couldn't get Dark Matter, so I ordered it from Amazon. Now I'll sell it on Amazon, if I can get any bites.
