Sue (suejulene) | 3 comments I'm new to this area. I actually am down in Kelso/Longview, but we don't seem to have any book clubs here.
I read lots on my phone. It's always with me and whenever I am in a "hurry up and wait" situation, I have a book right there.
Just finished Where'd you go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. I wasn't really excited about it.. 3/5 stars. Has anyone else read it? What did you think?

message 17: by John (new)

John | 10 comments I'm currently reading "Out of the Wilderness", book two off
the wilderness series by David Young. it's the continuing journey of Jonathan and Lily in the Northwest around the Columbia River basin in the 1820-1840s.

This series has a lot of events that are based on historical research.

Sue (suejulene) | 3 comments Since I last responded to this thread, I've read The Other Bolelyn Girl and a series (2 so far) about Mara Dyer. The first was called The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. I found the first one hard to put down. The second and now the third have become weird. I am not so sure I will even finish the third book.
The Out of the Wilderness series sounds very interesting! Thanks for sharing that. What is the title of the first in the series?
Sue

message 19: by John (new)

John | 10 comments I've finished "Into the wilderness" and also finished with the second of that series "Out of the Wilderness" waiting for the third book to be published.

I am currently reading three books "American Amazons: Colonial Women Who Changed History" which is second in a series; "A Devil of a Whipping" a Revelutionary War book about the Battle of Cowpen and "Wild at Heart" which is a book we are studying in our mens group at church.

Once I fenish these I will start on "Winter" and "Stars Above" both by Marissa Meyers and "A Dark History: the Tutors" by Judith John.
