Timothy (timothyniedermann) | 53 comments This is one of the most important books I have ever read. It is history (and a lot of it) but it is written in a wonderfully accessible yet mature way, and it makes some wonderful observations about the human capacity for adaptation and survival. it also touches on things lie the influence of disease and how that has guided and affected human progress all over the globe; how technology plays its role. This things are not obvious. Diamond has brilliantly put a riveting narrative together. Everyone should read this book!
