Michael Hi all.... I was looking at some of the new books at my local public library yesterday and came across this book. Ordinarily a title like this would not attract my attention, but it was next to a book of criticism on Melville. I initially thought it was maybe mis-shelved, but discovered that it appears to be something like a poetic meditation on MOBY DICK! I've only briefly scanned it, so don't have much to say about it at this point. The one or two items I did read make me want to read it.

Anybody else familiar with the book or it's author? The book was just published.

I'll post more in the days ahead as I read more. I was planning on re-reading MOBY DICK this year (I think my 6th re-reading since I first read it as a senior in undergraduate school).

Frederick An author fashioning a work after "Cetology" is Mellvillian indeed. I've put this on my "To Read" list.
