Flavorwire had an interesting article today asking "What contemporary authors will we still be reading in 100 years?" Who do you think? Why?

Here's their article if you want to see their guesses: http://www.flavorwire.com/294992/cont...

Tim Weakley | 396 comments Hmmm...

If I limit that to meaning authors that are alive right now:

Fiction
J.K. Rowling

Non Fiction
Hawking

This is not to say that I think they are the only ones deserving. Just that the others will get winnowed out.

╟ ♫ Tima ♪ ╣ ♥ (tsunanisaurus) I think I'd have to agree with them about J.K. Rowling and Stephen King.

Though, for my personal enjoyment, I'd like to see people still reading Douglas Coupland, Chuck Palahniuk and Terry Pratchett. ;)

Tim Weakley | 396 comments That's funny...I considered Palahniuk, Bukowski, and Coupland too.

Tearsa (turrsaturrsa) | 10 comments Along with Stephen King and J.K. Rowling, I'd have to say Chuck Palahniuk, and Haruki Murakami.
