So hopefully everyone is at least staring the Magic Series by Edward Eager. I'm already done with Half Magic and, just as I remembered, it is a fantastic, fun read. Yet another book series that deserves a movie adaptation.

Thoughts?

I bought them on eBay for cheap as a 7 book lot. While they are on Kindle, they are five bucks each so that quickly adds up. Looking forward to reading these!

I am really enjoying it so far. I am about 3/4 finished. So far it has a lot more substance than I thought it would. I am curious where the Mr. Smith (is that his name? The small man who just happens to be around when they make wishes) storyline is headed.

@Marilyn: Sure.
@Brendan: Can't wait to discuss this on the next show. I'm glad this series is holding up to my childhood memories.

It was awesome! Has anyone else read this?

I think it's great when a "kid's book" like this has words that adult readers don't know. Wouldn't you agree, Marilyn?

Marilyn Vecchio | 2 comments There were just a couple. But that's why reading is so great, it's constantly increasing your vocabulary.

Janelle (mrsvecchio) | 12 comments Didn't even catch those. I am a "word caller". I can read like 15 pages and have no idea what I just read.

I don't always do that, but I can read quite a bit while I'm falling asleep and not remember a thing about it.
