I have an idea for a contest. It might be fun. If you want to know just say so, but you don't have to use the idea.

Kay, I've got it. But it would be a long process, and there'd be contests in it. The whole thing wouldn't be a contest.
We could write a group story. In a discussion.
First, there'd be a poll asking which genre the writers want the story to be in. Once it's picked, there could be subcategories, (ex. everyone chooses fantasy, and there would be options like fantasy-romance, fantasy-action, whatever), but there doesn't have to be.
Here's the contest part: Once the genre is decided, a thread opens up for people to submit their plot ideas to. Once the due date for the plot ideas passes, there's another poll where you vote on which plot you want to write in best.
Then comes the characters. Everyone would collaborate and decide on the characters' name, appearance, etc. We'd also have to decide fist person or third person.
And then comes the actual story part. A thread would open up and the person that came up with the winning plot idea would start the story. Everyone would add to the story using the plot idea and main character.
Whew. Lotsa typing. And it would take a very long time to come up with everything, but I think it would be fun. I understand if you don't want to do it, because of how complicated it is.

I think it should be how ever much you want to write at that time. Just as long as no one does the whole story themselves.

Man half of me wants to just ask youif I've got any votes, Destiny. The other half of me is too freaked out to care.
Why don't you take all the tied people at the end of the vote and make another poll with just them?

Lo and behold, I have another contest idea. Well, it's almost the same as the second contest, but also different.

The creator made some really interesting manipulations that would make great story prompts. Everyone could choose ONE picture from the gallery and make it somehow into a short story (and in the story, the link or the picture itself that they chose would be included). It would be fun choosing our own pictures.

This is off topic, but sense we don't have a Chat thread, I don't know where else to post this comment. Destiny, I was wondering if you (or me) could make a thread for people to way in on book names. I always have issues with that, and it would be fun/cool to have everyone on here giving me (and anyone else who is having the same issue) ideas.

Okay, let me think how to put this. You know how sometimes you can't find a name for a book you're writing that suits it, and then your friend suggests one that works (I have that issue a lot)? I was thinking you could make a thread for people to ask for name suggestions, and then other people could tell them what they think the book could be called. Did you get that, or am I still really bad at describing things over the internet?

Sometimes, if you want to switch it up, you can put a sentence or two, and then for the contest we have to carry on using that beginning. With a word limit set, of course.
