Michelle I only made it to 29 last year, but that was still way up from the 4-5 book average from the last few years. I'm pretty darn proud of myself and I've definitely rediscovered my love for reading. In 2009 I hope to beat last year's number (maybe even make it to 50 :P) and to read more "classic" books, specifically those featured by The Big Read. Best of luck to everyone - meet you on the other side!

1. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle - David Wroblewski
I looooved this! I especially enjoyed the passages narrated by Almondine. Wroblewski completely captured the way I've always imagined a dog views the world - it was like music. Really stirring. I also liked the modernization of Hamlet, which I haven't read since high school, and now want to go back and re-read. I'm really happy I started out the year with this one.
