Hud-c | 237 comments I'm just a book away from my target this month. Needed to read 5 books/month in order to meet my 2013 challenge.

So now, I plan on reading mangas - Nana, Vol. 1. Gonna read that one. I have a manga challenge for this year too.

How about you guys, are you challenging yourself? How many books you set for yourself to read this year?

It's not bad but it doesn't have many action. Just some talking and fighting between old gods. It's really hard for read 'cause it's very long

I love the author who writes Sweet Venom!

message 363: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments I'm currently reading (still) The Odyssey ( The Odyssey by Homer ) and Nevermore ( Nevermore (Maximum Ride, #8) by James Patterson . Debating continuing The Hobbit ( The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien ). Nevermore was my #1 priority in 2013 and I'm really mad at myself for not reading it yet, so glad I've started. Just as good as Max Ride usually is so far. We've been reading The Odyssey in school for a little over a month now, and I could have been done with it ages ago because it is so good!!! Glad I picked this up. I must admit, I am seriously loving. It has probably only been boring twice, which is a record for a classic book for me (even though I love classics--don't get me wrong)! And it's MUCH older than the other MUCH more boring books. The language makes sense, and can sometimes be just darn funny! I thank Robert Fagles for his masterpiece translation. Never a dull moment in this book, though it is complex!

I finished Anna and I'm starting Girl of Nightmares. I absolutely loved Anna! I got to page 56 in Blue Bloods and haven't picked it back up yet. Not a good start in my opinion but I am going to finish it eventually :)

Christine | 130 comments Reading The Odyssey and Shadows Gray ( Shadows Gray by Melyssa Williams ) (which is AH-MAZING!!!!!!!! Finally reading Nevermore( Nevermore (Maximum Ride, #8) by James Patterson ) which I've been beating myself up about not reading in 2012, so it was ,y first priority this year. It's crazy awesome, yet crazy bad at the same time. Almost done with The Odyssey, just kind of at the point where the happy ending is occurring. =)

I just added Confessions of a Murder Suspect to my TBR after I saw it and read the excerpt in the back of Nevermore. Is it good? I was pretty hooked after reading the excerpt

message 395: by Ava (new)

Ava | 1 comments I'm reading Eden and it's blowing my mind! I started reading it because there is a paranormal angle to the story but there is so much more going on with this book that every page swipe reveals something new. There's a million tiny stories in one here and what I think is so extraordinary is that I haven't even got halfway through it. Oh and did I mention it's a series? Win Win!!!

Is The Witch's Daughter good? It doesn't have very good ratings, but it sounds interesting.
