Jess McHenry (jess721) | 21 comments I really liked it, and I'm kind of leaning towards reading Insurgent next just because I felt like it just stopped, and I want more of the story.

WOW. I'll move it up the list.
Unfortunately for the time being, the library's due dates are going to dictate what I read (I should have looked at that pesky card sooner), so next up is

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I know what you mean. The library always controls that!

Christine | 130 comments Too much work!

message 307: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments Oh whoops I misinterpreted that. Yeah I do that too! It definitely helps. ;) And it just makes sense.

Jess McHenry (jess721) | 21 comments Martha wrote: "I order my library books by when I have to turn them in so that I can get through them all."

That's a good idea ... right now I just have a pile on my bookcase.

message 309: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments That happens a lot too but at least you have a system!

message 310: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments Same here. And then there's the unpredictability of holds....

Jess McHenry (jess721) | 21 comments Martha wrote: "Marie wrote: "Same here. And then there's the unpredictability of holds...."

YES!
I let them pile up so I can pick them up all at once."

I have a limited amount of time to let them sit before I get a fine.

message 312: by Jess (new)

Jess McHenry (jess721) | 21 comments I think it's a week that they will let them sit, then you get a $2.00 fine. But since I tend to stalk my Holds online, I don't get fines....

Kerrin | 41 comments Marija(Jordan Catalano 4ever) wrote: "Possessions (Possessions, #1) by Nancy Holder It's pretty much scary so far"

I was wondering what that one would be like. I love the Crusade series that she co-authors (I've got the last book sitting there to read now) so I might have to add that one onto my list too. If it's spooky, that's an added bonus :)

message 314: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments I'm reading Angel still...because I paused to read The Perfect Prom Date which I won. Back onto Angel now!

Ellese (faithfulumbrella) | 33 comments ^ Oooh Speak was such a good book! The movie was very good as well, KStew actually did well in that one.

I just finished (well a few days ago) Bitter Blood (The Morganville Vampires, #13) by Rachel Caine and it was really good!! Love that series :)

message 336: by Hud-c (new)

Hud-c | 237 comments Have 3 on my CR shelf right now

The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer , Crewel (Crewel World, #1) by Gennifer Albin & The Umbrella Conspiracy (Resident Evil, #1) by S.D. Perry

Haven't started with the latter two yet (one is a rec from Martha which I have completely forgotten, UGH, Sorry), I think I'm just becoming a slow reader nowadays or it is just The Host is that long? (So far, I'm currently enjoying it)

message 337: by Hud-c (new)

Hud-c | 237 comments Martha wrote: "No the Host is that long.
It's probably the holidays I'm sure you'll get back into your reading speed after them."

It is sure long. 0_0 But I might finish it tonight. I think I can because the plot is becoming interesting and I'm having another of my "Twilight moments". :D

Ah, the holidays!!! It a total distraction and ruination of my weight watch program. T_T

message 338: by Hud-c (new)

Twilight moments?

Psh I think I've gained 10 lbs this week!"

yes, twilight. Like I found another Jacob. Again. I always fall for the wrong guy. arghhh

10lbs?! I haven't check mine. I dare not walk that valley of darkness to the weighing scale these days. And horror of all horrors, I think I'm gonna gain more. 0_0 New Year's eve is just several days from now, I'm guilty but I just love to eat.

Well I'm guesstimating by the roundness of my belly :D
As do I. I expect to look like a pregnant woman by New years! hah "

Yes, its him.

LMAO, I can't imagine myself looking like a pregnant woman!

You know, my mom even wish that mosquitoes should not only suck blood but the fats as well. She's eye-ing me with those disapproving eyes. How about your mom? does she say anything?

Ugh I should definitely start planning on how I would shed the excess weight for next year. :D

Im done with The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer (YES!!!) and added Art & Love An Illustrated Anthology of Love Poetry by Kate Farrell now on my CR.

message 342: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments I recommend playing the Just Dance 4 video game (Wii, Kinect, etc.). It comes with boot camp and workout options and I have burned a ton of calories with it! Wii Fit Plus+ is good too, though not as efficient for burning calories. =) Yeah, I have a layer of fat on my stomach that I'm trying to shed. In fact, I'm ata restaurant ordering as I type this and decided to opt out of the dessert. Trying to make healthier choices! We should start a weight loss/healthy living support group. ;)

message 343: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments Well not completely. Just for this one meal! ;) It is the holidays after all! =)

Nope she doesn't care. Says I'm old enough to know how to restrain myself and some such.
I always says I'm going to diet but in the end I don't.
Give up dessert Marie? I don't think I could do that. My hats off to you! ..."

I'm all for Ian. I do like Jared too. But Ian is hotter!! WHOA (burn my calories, if only thinking can burn calories, I'll be so petite now)

In my case, I don't have any restraint that's why she's so into me. I guess its the way she just raise us as kids. My mom can be pretty hands-on. Sometimes its suffocating. But that's how she shows her love, and who am I to complain? And besides, if she wasn't there, I'll probably be an obese now. :P

Yeah those sinful dessert! I just love ice cream and chocolate cookies. :D Yum yum (and I'm eating chocolate coated biscuits right now - guilty)

Dancing... I'm not really good at those. Following the steps. I do the opposite always - they move to the left and I'm moving the right. I'll probably do some running instead. But thanks for the advice, who knows I might use them in the future.

message 345: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments Oh okay. It's true, dancing is not for everyone. I do recommend running, although I am way worse at that than dancing. That is just my personal way.

message 346: by Randi (new)
