What are you currently reading?
which may turn out to be my favorite collection of short stories and
which has been surprisingly hard to get into since I usually love Dean Koontz.
I finally started A Discovery of Witches. Hope it's as good as people have said. Only a couple chapters in, so too early to say.

I am currently reading Pet Sematary. ANother of the classic King books I have not yet read. Of course it is pretty incredible so far.
I will be reading
. Then I will work on finishing series that I've started over the years and never picked up again.

I will let you know when I finish :)
Love Pet Sematary, Stephen King is awesome
Marija wrote: "Give up from
for now..."Marija, that was my least favorite of the series so far. There were only a few POV's I was interested in and the rest I kind of skimmed. Some people will probably slay me for saying this but he really needs an editor at this point.
Anyhooo, I finished
, which I really didn't like. I have no idea what to read next - maybe
or
or
.
Just finished reading last weekend The Perks of Being a Wallflower - its beautifully written. And this one: Vampire University (Vampire University, #1) - didn't wow me but its okay to read. Currently reading the Hobbit, Death Sentence by Alex Gordon Smith (I think I started 3 weeks ago, T_T ) and Let The Right One in - another vampire tale, i think there's a vamp movie with the same title, not so sure if the plot is from the book.
Just finished reading "The Thirteenth Tale", which has encouraged me to re-read "Jane Eyre", which I haven't read since I was a teenager!
Davi wrote: "Hud-c, I'm more than likely going to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower. What did you think of it?"I haven't done a review on that one, I'm still trying to put together my thoughts coherently. Anyway, its a great book. For me, its like a trip down memory lane. I remember my high school days because of it. There's a lot of issues, sensitive ones, that the book tackles/focuses on. About the characters, I found all of them unique and "normal". I can relate to them, and I see a glimpse of myself and other people I came to know in each one of them. BTW, this is not written in the usual way. If you have read the Diary of Anne Frank, then, you'll get the idea.
I'm reading Off Magazine Street (Ronald Everett Capps), which is the novel the movie A Love Song for Bobby Long was taken from. So far, I like the screenplay better, but the voice is perfect.
Just finished Wreath, an Impulse buy. It was decent. Now reading The Devil in Gray by Graham Masterton.
I finally finished
and am on to
...but I am also still reading
(albeit slowly)...and a few other ARCs from my work :)
Finsihed One Small Boat: The Story of a Little Girl, Lost Then FoundI don't know which to start next out of these...
Don't Tell Mummy, The Nimrod Flipout: Stories,or Candy Everybody Wants
Finished The Devil in Gray, a FANTASTIC read. And now reading Slights. Hmm, a bit disturbing so far.
Picked up a few manga books from my library:
.
I'm working to finish
, after which I will begin
. I will also be recieving an ARC of an indie book called Secret of the Mummy.
I don't know if I'll be able to read Troll or Derby this month, as I don't have a Kindle for the $0.99 sale, and I don't have enough money to get it in paperback:( Hopefully something will come up though:)

Just finished
now having to read the bonus novella in the back of said book
and will probably start my Goodreads First Freebie
I am halfway through A Discovery of Witches and I love this book. Just hoping that it continues to grab my attention.

Faize wrote: "Really? I didn't really like it..."I would call it one of my top 5 books...but I haven't read it in a year, the second one wasn't as good I will admit, but I am not a huge fan of historical fiction (even though I adore history)

Finished
today. And, because I can't control myself around libraries, I picked up a few more.

Started on the James Patterson YA series Maximum Ride. Read book 1 The Angel Experiment, it was so good. Now reading book 2 School's Out—Forever
Just finished reading A Discovery of Witches. I loved it, plan on starting the second one. Hope it's as good as the first.
Randi wrote: "Just finished reading A Discovery of Witches. I loved it, plan on starting the second one. Hope it's as good as the first."Randi I am sure glad to hear you say that. I have seen a few bad reviews on this series. And right when I decided to read it, and was like "oh". I have not gotten it yet, but will give it a shot.
Martha wrote: "Love that series Janie! can't believe Patterson is done!"
I can't believe it is as good as it is since this is not Patterson's genre. I have always loved Patterson. It takes a great author to be able to write outside of their comfort zone. I am now on Book 3. SO yesterday I got book 3 and 4. I am also looking forward to the movie that they say now is coming in 2013.

I thought it was a unique perspective to write from, since the main character is a little boy. The book is all about the oppression of the Jews and concentration camps and Nazis, but 95% of the time, Bruno has absolutely no clue what's going on. It was a good book, I'd recommend it. And I always have respect for authors who take a serious subject and incorporate it into children's novels. Not everyone can do that.

I just realized something!! I am reading two roller derby books simultaneously! What a coinkydink. Think it was subconscious??
I am stepping away a bit from the Max series for a group read of The Tommyknockers. Then I will continue with book 3 of Maximum Ride.
Hi! I'm new to Book Junkies :) Currently I'm reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I am loving it so far. I can't put it down. It's like reading a book that takes place in the 70's/80's but at the same time it's futuristic, if that makes sense? Very dystopian and a little melancholic (is that word?)
I am really enjoying it! It's written from the point of view of the main character who is looking back over her life and memories. Not at all what I thought it was going to be about (I won't post spoilers) but worth the read for sure.
