I feel like I haven't found any new favorite authors in a while..however I've really been enjoying Daphne Du Maurier.

J. K. Rowling
Mary Higgins Clark
Michael Crichton
Orson Scott Card
Lois Lowry
Diane Duane
Roald Dahl
Dr. Seuss

J.D. Salinger
J.K. Rowling
J.R.R. Tolkien
Lewis Carroll
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Oscar Wilde
Ramsey Nasr
Sylvia Plath
Catullus
I only add authors to my favourites if I've read several of their works. If I've only read one of their books, I can't be sure if I really love the author or just the one book.

John Irving
Isabel Allende
Haruki Murakami
Kurt Vonnegut
Alice Hoffman
Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Jhumpa Lahiri

J.M. Coetzee
Haruki Murakami
Nicole Krauss
Jonathan Safran Foer
I also used to adore Meg Cabot, particularly her Mediator series. I read a lot of random books, so I unfortunately don't get the chance to read a lot of one specific author's books...for example, though I practically idolize Margaret Atwood, I've only actually read 4 of her books, two of which are her most recent, which are more like "popular fiction" than her earlier works.
