Yep that is the one! It is a short book in sort of vignettes with poetry and art that she has done. It was an okay read. She spent some time in my town when filming one of her movies and so I was interested.

How did you like this book? Me and my boyfriend got it from his parents at Christmas, but we haven't read it yet. Is it as good as people say? :)

I have to say it was a bit hard to get into. I was listening to it on audio and it is a bit in your face. However the narrator started to grow on my and then the story took some twists and turns. I think it would make a good book discussion book but I can't say I liked the main character or how the story went. I just finished reading Q and A by Swarup (Slumdog Millionaire) and it is similar in that it has the good vs evil theme but it also has a likable main character. I think The White Tiger has a purpose to it but it makes me think Q and A was the superior book but maybe it is because of the characters. Read it and let me know what you think.

* def a 5 star book, this made me laugh and it made me cry ..a lot!! The 1960's in Mississippi, one junior league ambitious woman and 2 black maids get together to try to change discrimination in their lives. Wonderful book!I listened to it actually and it had multiple wonderful readers. :)
