I'm in north east florida. I had a poke around the meet up threads and saw that some people meet up around Gainsville and Tampa but those are both a good ways away from me.
Have you ever been to meet ups? :)
Yep! I am in Northern VA. We host meet ups every month and we have branched out to doing game nights and other general get togethers.
Hello! I'm Mindy, in Texas. I discovered y'all when I was doing a Google search last week for info on a mission in The Secret World and stumbled on Louise's thread "Also about gaming (The Secret World)". I was so excited to find so many women in one place that knew about the game!!! I looked some of you up in game, but alas, haven't seen any of you online yet. I'm "Rissann" if anyone wants to "friend" me. :) I also play Rift, so let me know if you do too.
So, now I've discovered this group and the VF book club and have a lot of videos to catch up on! Not a tough assignment though. Who can resist a video chat with a bunch of girlfriends, about great books and interesting topics, with laughter & wine flowing freely? Not me!
Some of my recent favorite authors are Kate Elliott, Jim Butcher, Ilona Andrews and I'm looking forward to finding some new favs and getting to know you here.
See ya!
Hello! I'm Alicia, an Australian woman living in London. I mostly read sci-fi/fantasy and I don't mind when there is a bit of romance involved.
Hello. My name is Leanne, I'm 32 and live in Sunderland England. I read all sorts of genres, but this year I want to read more fantasy/scifi and I thought since I watch and enjoy the VF book club videos on YouTube it was about time I joined in.I've not read any of the books that have been covered but it gives me a starting point for meeting my 2014 reading challenge.
Hello everyone, My name is Kat, I'm 25 and I live in the UK. I'm a big fan of Felicia Day and have absolutely loved watching the VF hangouts on YouTube, so I decided this year I'd join in on all the fun :) I read a lot of fantasy but am new to the whole romance side of things.
This is the first book group I've ever been a part of and I'm very much looking forward to discussing the books with you all.
So glad there are more fans out there. If you like manga I have a thread on the VF page called Geeky mangas to start reading, please stop by if you can.
Welcome Kat! I am new to the romance novel genre as well and a fan of Felicia Day. It's nice to know I am not the only new person.
I should probably come out of my lurk-dom and introduce myself..I'm Chiara, I'm 33, I work for the Society of London Theatre. I was born and raised in Italy but I've been living in London for the past 7 years.
I will follow Felicia into battle, so it wasn't difficult to follow her into VF, as I love books, these 4 ladies and nerdy things.
I will try to interact more with you guys and be less lurk-some.
x
Hi, It's been a while since I used Goodreads but I'm back now. I've been really busy working on my third novel and it's finished now. I updated my author profile, all but the part listing the books I have published. How do I add my book to this list?
Hi, my name is Camilla. I'm 28 and from Norway. Been a movie buff for many years now but before that i was reading books everyday. Gonna try and throw in some books this year between the movie watching and gaming that i do :) I wish I could do all three at the same time :p but sadly that don't work.. I enjoy the VF vids on youtube so thought i would join the book club here :)
Hiya! I'm Emmie. I'm actually a fantasy author myself (a baby one cuddling a very new contract...heh) but have always been a massive reader. I've lurked around the VF activity on Twitter and the like for a while, but with all the busy-ness of the last year or so, I just now decided to join all official-like.I'm a huge urban fantasy fan (Laurell K. Hamilton and Kim Harrison are two of my big favorites), but I grew up on a steady diet of the sword and sorcery stuff like David Eddings and Lloyd Alexander and Robert Jordan.
Very excited to be a part of the group!
Hey! I've been lurking here for quite some time now, I enjoy dropping by here occasionally and reading the current picks. Anyhow, figured it was about time I said hi :)
Hi everyone. I'm Luciana following along with this book club for almost a year now. I also read a lot of the forum comments on the books, I just never actually post myself, but figured it was time to post something.
Hello everyone!I'm Hubsche aka Oana I'm 29 and I have an addiction - I love books and spend tons of money on them. I read hardcovers - have quite a collection, but I also enjoy reading on Kindle.
I've recently joined Goodreads, following a reccomandation from a colleague and fell in love instantly. I actually can't believe I didn't know about this. Still in the proces to add books - it will take some time! :))
I've initially joined Sword and Laser and there I've first heared about this club. It took me 5 minutes to make me a fan!
I'm slowly catching up with all the titles covered - still a little behind with the videos also - reached 16th, but planning to watch a live webcast soon enough. It'll be a little hard - I'm from Romania, but I'll make it possible.
Anyway I'm new and looking forward to read some great books and add some new friends!

Hello! I've been lurking for a few months now and figured it was time for me to come out of my lurkerdom and introduce myself. I'm Trin, 26 and to be completely honest I was more of an avid reader when I was younger. When I found this place, only a few months ago, I thought it was a great way to get me to read a little more. It's always more fun when you finish a book and can go discuss it with others. You could say I'm pretty new to the "vaginal fantasy" genre, but I grew up reading scifi, horror. The ones I read were just a lot less romantic and sexy. I'm realizing just exactly what I've been missing this entire time.
I did make a comment in a discussion post once and then quickly deleted it, because I am a coward, lol. Hopefully, now that I've introduced myself, I will be less likely to shy away from participating in discussions. lol
Hi guys,I'm Lynsey from the UK. Been lurking around since the conception of vaginal fanatsy but have decided to join in now! I have 3 kids, work crazy shifts and spend lots of time on trains but still usually manage to read about 40 books a year.
I will consider reading anything but my favourites are SF, fantasy & historical fact/fiction. I've just finished the main book for feb, will start the alt book shortly!
Hello hello!I'm Melissa from the US; like many other ladies(it seems, from reading the introductions), I too lurked on Goodreads, checking out VF and the Sword and Laser. I'm 28, live on the west coast of the US, and enjoy reading SF, horror, and fantasy; the list goes on. I also enjoy gaming (Horde for life), cooking, makin' stuff (crafting/painting/whatever), and a lot browsing Reddit. Right now I'm trying out homebrewing wine, so that has been fun. Nice to meet all of you!
Hey everyone! I'm Asia (pronounced like Ah-see-yah), in two weeks I turn 25, and I live in Florida.Like Trin, I read a lot more when I was younger and for some reason, I just kind of stopped. I work two jobs and study astrophysics (~*~show offff~*~) full time at university, so even when I want to read, I have very little time for it. But, with the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge and groups like this, I think that'll push me to make time for myself to escape in a book.
I mostly read sci-fi and nonfiction science books, but let's be real: I love smut. It's hilarious to me and I think more people should read smutty books. I also love Felicia Day, so when she tweeted about this place, I had to join.
I've been following the VF videos for a while, but only finally decided to join the group! I'm Audrey, 23, from Ireland, and have a serious ebook addiction. I read a lot, and fast, and adore good vag fan book series that can get me hooked :) I'm always looking for something new to read! I love urban fantasy and really sexy sidekicks for my heroines to flirt with.
Hi!,I'm Mercecedes from Spain ( excuse me if my English is sometimes bad... I'm learning :S). I got here through Felicia Day's Twitter.
My favourite genres are sci-fi and fantasy
I've just joined, so I'm looking forward to visiting the threads right now.
See you!!
Hi i'm Sherroy, I'm from Tasmania, Australia. I love to read. I first loved historical romance but one day I came across a "paranormal romance," from memory it was, Ghost Hunter by Jayne Ann Krentz and so glade I found it. I don't think I've read a historical romance since. Some of my favorite paranormal romance authors: Kresley Cole with her, Immortals After Dark series, Mary Janice Davidson's Betsy Vampire Queen series and I love some of the Anita Blake series by Laurel k Hamilton - right up to the point where there was less solving crimes, kicking the bad guys butts and started having orgies on a continual basis.
Hello, My name is Samantha and I'm from Illinois, USA.
I love reading, whether it's book format or on my computer (yay fan fiction!) or my kindle.
Favorite genres of mine include fantasy, adventure, historical fiction and paranormal.
Some of my favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Anne Rice and Terry Pratchett.
I joined a few weeks ago but just realized I didn't introduce myself. Oops.
I recently joined this group after watching the last live stream, though I had meant to do so a while ago. I am excited to finally have found a book club, even if it ends up being books that I wouldn't normally read.
I'd been meaning to join the Goodread's group for awhile, as I've been a big fan of the show since it started. I love "high" and "low" fiction, usually genre's like fantasy, sci-fi, and all kinds of romance. I've started writing erotica/romance recently and am finding it to be a lot of fun.Currently living in Europe and would love to find other folks in online groups in the same time zone. I have a thing for tea, British period dramas, cupcakes and I really need to get back to reading more.
Hi! I've been following the group on and off since it began, and I'll watch the hangout, even if I hadn't read the book. Anyway, now I wanted actually join the group, participate and catch up with the new book pick. I like all kinds of fantasy and scifi, I don't really have a favorite, but I am partial to mystery/urban/fantasy combinations. I'm in Chicago, aside from reading, I draw and play video games in my spare time.
Hi, I'm Susan. I live in Brisbane, Australia.I've been watching/reading on and off with VF for a while. Some of the books I had already read, others I read because they were the pick for the month.
I mostly enjoy reading fantasy and historical fiction.
I love cats and vegan food.
I'm Victoria, or more often, V. I've actually been watching VF since Felicia Day first announced them--I've been a fan since Season 1 of The Guild, and she is why I started watching Eureka. :) But I never had a Goodreads account before. Now I do.I started reading fantasy with the Prydain Chronicles in 3rd grade. I started reading genre romance in high school. I started writing fantasy in 5th grade and romance as a sophomore in college. That's me!
Hi! I realized that I've been poking around here for awhile but haven't actually posted an intro so I figured I'd go ahead and fix that!I've basically been obsessed with reading my whole life! When I was a kid, I was always at my local library and the children's librarian knew me quite well, to the point where she would always allow me to take as many books as I wanted even when the other librarians tried to discourage my large stacks of reading material!
I read less than I used to due to my busy schedule and other distractions but I've been actively trying to make more time for reading because it brings me so much joy. I'm usually a big reader of fantasy and sometimes science fiction (particularly books for children and young adults because I am an elementary school teacher and have easy access to such books!) but I love expanding my horizons. I enjoy watching the hangouts on G&S and have always wanted to be a part of a book club so I thought joining here might be a fun way to read more, read different things, and meet people in the process!! :)
Newish member. Never been that big on romance novels but thanks to this group I've added several to my "to read" shelf.I wanna watch them live but I can't find the timezone. I know it's on the Geek & Sundry Channel on YouTube on Tuesday, March 25th at 8pm. But timezone is that?

Hi and welcome! It is 8 PM PCT so if you are on the east coast like me it will start at 11 PM EST. A late night but worth it :)

Ok that's 10 PM for me in CST. I was worried I'd have to miss it to watch Supernatural. Luckily I can watch both! ^_^
Hi, I'm Leticia, from Brazil. I read a lot of SFF, specially urban fantasy and all kinds of comics. I'm not really into romance, more of a kick-to-the-head girl myself, but I'm interested in expanding my horizons. Also, I kinda noticed I read a lot of shoujo manga, which has a lot of my brand of crazy, but has some nice fuzzy romance as well. So, I though "might as well get some of this in fiction". And here I am. ^^
Hi everyone! I'm Miranda, 24, from Oklahoma. I'm a very active reader, and I read a pretty wide variety of genres. Fantasy, urban fantasy, sci fi, historical fiction, mystery, romance, thriller. As long as it has a good story, I'm sucked in. Some of my favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Kim Harrison (Hollows series ftw!), Neil Gaiman, and George R.R. Martin. I also read a lot of comics! Right now I'm more of a Marvel than DC girl, but DC is wooing me back with a select few storylines.
I'm taking a break between my undergrad and grad school, so I have a lot of free time for reading and writing. I'm going to school for Library and Information Studies, and it's my goal to become an academic librarian. I work as an evening supervisor in a law library right now.
Looking forward to getting involved!
Greetings!I am a 30 something reader of just about anything. Currently I am reading Craig rice a very popular (in her day 1930 and 1940) mystery novelist. I love love love neo Victorian with a splash of steampunk ala Gail Carriger.
I found this group cause Felicia is awesome and creates interesting geek centric things. I look forward to giving this book club a try.
Oh and I am a librarian in the public library in my hometown. Graduated with my MLS, four years ago. Good luck to the several students in library grad school I noticed in other intros.
Read more books!
Megan
Hello all!I became a fan of the facebook page of VF a couple of months ago, a good friend of mine recommended it :) Then I **shame** forgot about it... Now back and then remembered there is a Goodreads page! Currently listening and watching to an episode of the book club. Love it!
My name is Charlie, I'm 30 and live in UK. Born and raised in Amsterdam moved a couple of years to the UK and now happily married. Avid gamer, am WoW tired but currently exploring the BETA weekends of Wildstar :)
Can't wait to have my To-Read and eventually my Read pile to stack with lots of awesome and good books. I've loved/read the Dark series of Christine Feehan, Psy-Changeling Nalini Singh, Guildhunter Nalini Singh, BDB - JR Ward. And a few more to name which I can't remember right this minute.
Definitely going to be more involved on here and on FB and going to check out Felicia Day's youtube.
Speak soon!
Cheers,
Charlie
Hi, I'm a new member. My name is Bonnie but my friends call me Bejay (or B.J., also not a pornstar.) I was first drawn into the world of erotica by Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, and hooked ever since. I like my erotica like I like my coffee - hot and full of vampires and werewolves. lol
Hello everyone! My name is Brandie though most of my friends call me Roxxy (long story haha). I'm a new member to the group, though have been watching/following it on YouTube for quite some time. I'm 24 and an avid reader, mostly leaning towards the paranormal. The more vampires/werewolves ect. the more I enjoy them. I'm excited to finally join the group and look forward to it!
Hi, I'm Vanessa! I love to read romance, especially historical romance novels set in Scotland.I am currently reading through the outlander series and am on Fiery Cross.
I am happily married for six years to a firefighter who is Scottish (swoon). We are trying to have a baby. So between being a wife, working as a nursing technician and trying to conceive; I hope I get through the series before my hands are too full!
Evenin AllFinally getting around to doing my introduction after creeping around the forums since i joined in Feb.
I'm 26 years old, based in Caithness, Scotland. I've been in love with books since i was wee and usually have two or three books on the go at once. My house is crammed full of various genres, fantasy and para-romance making up the majority of my collection.
I'm a definite book nerd, I wont buy a handbag without checking that a decent size book will fit in along with all the other essentials :) I have also been known to burst into tears/laughter in public while reading and i always rate books on how lost in the story i find myself.
I do own a kindle which i use when traveling but i haven't been able to give up my paperback copies completely (it might happen one day). I just love the feel and smell of a well loved paperback, its the smell of home for me.
Vag Fan was recommended to me during a search for online book clubs. I'm in such a remote area so its hard to find local book clubs for the types of genres i read. Vag Fan has quickly become my favourite book club.
I thought I'd stop being a lurker. I'm Beth, I'm 26, live in Wales. Have a 6 year old son who is looking as if he'll grow up to be as much of a geek as his parents, if his undying love of Pokemon is anything to go by. Also have a cat, Baldur, who is beautiful but none too bright, and I love him extra for it. Book-wise, I love me some historical and fantasy books, though I occasionally dip into sci-fi (I'm looking at you, Ursula le Guin). As I've already read all of the Sevenwaters books, I thought I'd delve into the VF back catalogue for something to read this month, so I went with Outlander (Scotsmen!!) and am now on book 2. Unfortunately, being a lover of The Elder Scrolls games, I still keep mentally hearing "Wealth beyond measure, outlander" at the most inopportune moments....
Hi all! My name is Gina. I've loved romance novels from the tender age of 12. I read all genres, but it's not long before I want a good love story again. I'm excited about this group because it looks like a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to digging in to the next selection.
Hi you all! My name is Nemi and I am an Italian studying in Austria at the moment. I love all kinds of stories, but lately I have stepped away from "published books" and just mostly consume fanfiction at alarming rates. I blame my weird taste in fiction. Also I love my kindle. Looking forward to reading and chatting with all you amazing people :D
Hello! My name is Jonathon. I'm a gay male (therefore, I lack a vagina), and I like to read romance-y stuff when I'm bored and feel like mixing things up. I'm from the United States (Texas to be a bit more exact). I am 20 (will be 21 in 11 days). I enjoy gaming (table top or pc), and I obviously enjoy reading.
Hello! My name is Cass, I'm 30..plus. :) Live not too far from Pittsburgh, PA (USA). I've read from almost every genre, but I've always loved romance and fantasy. The last few years since the paranormal genre has gotten so popular have been awesome as far as reading materials go.Lately, the last 6 months or so, I've been reading exclusively indie authors, most of the time in the post apocalyptic genre. However that's getting a little old. Joined today because I'm getting a little desperate for a book I don't start editing in my head while reading!

Gosh I hope I'm doing this right. I haven't been in a forum since I was in junior high. I'm 19, just finished up with high school.
I joined up on the forum because I was hoping to find some people to chat with about the vaginal fantasy book picks. I'm also hoping to find some friends to do a google plus hang out with or something. I think it would make reading the books more fun :)
Currently reading Guilty Pleasures and Camilla. Love and Butterflies to all!
