Quite fast, not boring, the book is like a written film, similar to Indiana Jones style.
It is illustrative too, there are many references to the History of China and the way of living in Europe in the XIX century.
I recommend it to people who likes adventure readings and are not very exigent with the literary quality. In this case the writing is correct and it shows a great documentary work. Perhaps the author pretends to be too much hilarant in some moments what makes the main character to look a little be hystrionic.
I enjoyed a lot but the other one by Matilde Asensi, The Last Cato, was better. In both cases the story turns into a fantastic story.
Sorry for my bad English.
