Tracey (long_arm) | 1 comments i've been living in philly for just under three years... any suggestions on good used bookstores in the area? i've been to the one near the free library and a couple others in philadelphia so far but i usually find myself in barnes and noble.

Bookhaven (2202 Fairmount Ave.) has a great literature selection and was always my absolute favorite, but it may be the one you're talking about near the free library -- it's not a long walk between the two. I think it's the best in town. House of Our Own in West Philly has a mix of new and used, too. One opened not long ago in the midst of the Italian Market, but I don't know the name and I don't know how good it is. Anybody else have ideas?

Dana Someone told me about a great used bookstore in or around Kensington (randomly enough), but I don't remember where exactly. I was looking for it and came across this article from the City Paper and thought it might help:
