lilias Hello,

I was hoping someone here could recommend some good books on the Italian Renaissance along the lines of work by Giorgio Vasari. Slightly more obscure than, say, Brunelleschi's Dome?

Thank you!

Leslie | 3 comments Here are a couple that you could try, if you are looking for nonfiction. I haven't read them but I think they cover what you are looking for.

The Flowering of the Renaissance by Vincent Cronin

Cultur der Renaissance in Italien by Jacob Burckhardt (don't worry it is in English)

Those are just a couple that I have heard of on that subject.Hope I could help!

lilias I will definitely check them out. It's an idea I have for a gift, and I've never seen either one of these books.
Thank you, Leslie!
