TOPIC: PerseveranceI don't care if you actually use the word in the poem or not, but it must reflect the topic, positively or negatively. Be forewarned, if I do not think it is on topic, you will have no chance of winning *evil smile*
Cryptid and I, of course, are judging. The Tentative deadline is January 7th. This may be subject to change, depending.
Feel free to use any form of poetry; imagism, haiku, sonnet, whatever, but again, if you say, for example, that your poem is a haiku and your first line has six syllables, I WILL DOCK POINTS!!!
Oh yeah, and have fun. ^^

Haha, sure.perseverance (N): steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
Basically, continuing on at something until you reach your goal, or die trying.
Like I said, you can sing the glories of perseverance or you can say that it sucks. I don't care, so long as it's on topic.

No. Haikus can be about anything but they are meant to capture a moment in time, following a very specific format, that is, 5 syllables first line, seven the next, and five syllables in the last line, as follows:When you do not look (five)
In the night, I am cutting (seven)
Look! Do you see me? (five)

Bells...I hate to threaten...but the more you complain about it...the less it makes me like the thing. *hint hint* No one said you had to write happy. You could have wrote a poem about how perseverance sucks. You could write something saying quitters persevere because they're always quitting. I DON'T FRIGGIN' CARE. But this let's disclaim how false this poetry is thing is kind of ticking me off.
And on that note, feel free to post more than one entry.
